Please help! How long does it take for swelling to completely go down after a circumcision revision? Over 4 months have passed

I’m in my thirties and I had a circumcision last April due to inflammation/balanitis. However, there was a lot of swollen tissue left over so in November I had a second operation - a revision of the circumcision. Over four months later there is still a little bit of reddish coloured swelling and discomfort. And after sexual activity it swells up much more and looks almost like a donut! Will this inflammation/swelling ever go or will I have to have yet another operation? I’m a chronic worrier because I suffer with general anxiety disorder, so I’m worrying over this a great deal.

Sorry to hear it sounds like you’ve had a rubbish time with it.

Swelling is still possible after 4 months I would leave it a little bit longer maybe 6 months to see if it improves. it may just need more time to settle.

If it doesn’t subside by then though I would seek professional advice from a urologist.

Thanks a lot for your reassurance and your sound advice. I will go back to the urologist if it is still problematic in a couple of months.
