Circumcision stiches

Hey guys, I had circumcision operation 2 days ago

I removed the bandage there are alot of stiches

Can I leave it like this or I should give it support

It's swelling alot

Will there be a problem if I leave it hanging

Im very scared please help me

Hi Man,

I would try and keep him in an upright position for now to reduce swelling. keep him wrapped up with some non adhering dressing and wrapped in gauze and in a tight pair of briefs also keep clean with some salt baths.

The first week is probably the worst with the bruising and swelling but after that things should improve once the healing kicks in.

MrMac99's advice is spot-on!!

As for which type of salt to use, I used ordinary cooking salt, but I don't know whether there is any recommended type. Anyway, it worked for me!! Good luck and all good wishes.

Yeah it doesn't matter what type of salt don't make it too strong though, and just take it handy for a few days.

some of the stitches will probably start to loosen in a few days.

That all depends on how fast you will heal everybody is different at healing, so it's hard to say but the first week to 10 days are slow once the stitches come out it improves but the swelling can be slow to clear

I'm on day 8 and still have both. Have a lot if crusting due to the antibiotics too 😂
