One month after a circumcision the head of my penis is still sensitive and now sore

One month after a circumcision the head of my penis is still sensitive and sore. A few of the stitches are still there but are slowly going and most of the scabs have fallen off now [still a few there.]

I felt it was healing ok but now the trouble i'm having is that the head is still very sensitive and the area where the foreskin has been cut is swollen and very sore. There is also a rash of small raised pimples along the same side of the penis. Maybe Balanitis?

I gently masturbated with ky jelly a few days ago so I dont know if thats whats caused it or just general chaffing.

Does anyone know what this is or how long it takes before the area is not so sensitive? Also the best way of treating it?

I think the skin is suppose to toughen up in time but how does this happen without chaffing and getting sore? At present I have it back in bandages.

You have not healed yet. Healing is a individual process can take several months. Scar will develop next 10-18 months. Wait and try coconut oil next time instead of KY.

You really need to get the stitches out Bro, and the more you protect it the longer it will take to get used to it's new state. You certainly shouldn't be protecting it now, let alone bandaging it, hate to say it but you need to bite the bullet. It WILL get there though, one day you'll aim the shower directly at the head and it will be pleasant not painful - that was my test! Good luck
