Hi im 20. I went to my GP a little while ago because of my tight foreskin and extremely sensitive head and he recommended that I get circumcised due to frenulum adhesion. For basically my whole life I'm unable to touch the tip of my penis due to high sensitivity. I have tried with lube and it still feels extremely rough.
I can pull back the foreskin about half way, at that point It feels like it will end up being stuck if I go any further back.
I'm wondering what it is like to deal with hyper sensitivity after getting circumcised, How long it will take to recover, because that's the biggest worry for me as I cant even touch it as of now. However with a condom on, I can touch the head a little bit.
What are some possible recommendations for me? Is wearing a condom during the healing process a viable option? How long does it take to be able to enjoy touching the head? Thanks a lot.

Hello, i went through that. Had the similar problem, had issues with my frenulum and had to get circ. I was also extremely sensitive you just have to follow what your surgeon tells you to do and by time you will heal. It will be painful for a month, two, then you need to go through the discomfort that it’s left and that period can vary from 3 to 6-7 months, its not that big of a deal! You will get through it dont worry, cheers.
May I ask you. Do you live in area where circumcision is common like in US. Here in Europe we normally try different ointments and stretching method first before just snip the foreskin off.
Every time you pull you foreskin back and let the glans breathe it's easier to touch it. Some of us are extremely sensitive. You just need to get used to it. It can take couple of weeks or some months. We all are different down there. On healing period after circumcision you can not keep latex condom on all the time. You may get latex allergy.
I live in AUS, and i dont know how common it is here, I don't think its very common. But for some time I will focus on doing the things you have mentioned to find any possible improvement. The doctor said ointments and such will not treat the problem with the adhesion and it will either need to be snipped or the entire foreskin removed. I'm in no real rush but these things would be nice to get out the way earlier than later I think.
And I did not know about the latex allergy so that is good to know.
I also had extreme sensitivity before my circumcision, mainly caused by the impossibility to fully uncover the glans.
I had my circ done two months ago and it didn't give me any problems. The first days without bandages were kind of uncomfortable in some positions but nothing to be afraid of. After 3 or 4 weeks I was able to rub the glans without any problem.
Nowadays I feel it like any sensitive part of my skin (lips, palms) but definitely no pain or discomfort.
I would like to have your problem. Try stretching your forskin so it moves back. Then start working on your sensitive head by leaving it exposed as much as possible. Eventually it will get much better. I am having to do the opposite to get feeling back.
Will leaving it in the air regularly help reduce sensitivity? And stretching is difficult for me because of the fear of it getting stuck back, though about half way is no problem. I will have to put more effort in to do it I guess. Thanks
Stretch side ways . Find bottle cap or something to enlarge skin sideways. Leave it in 8 hrs if possible, just not at night. Lost my skin as baby. Your body tries to heal itself and as a result in time built a thick layer of skin over my glans . At 50 I had no feeling. Sex was almost impossible. Keep your skin!!!
Thanks I like the sound of this approach better. I’ll try the things you mentioned for a while and possibly get frenuloplasty done if necessary as my GP suggested as a possible alternative to circumcision.
From my experience GPs are very quick to suggest circumcision when there are many other less invasive procedures available. A preputioplasty can release a phimosis of just the end of the foreskin. A frenuloplasty can release a tight frenulum. A dorsal slit can potentially free a severe phimosis without tissue loss, but with all of these you will need to rely on the opinion of your clinician not a site like this. My advice, if you are not feeling calm and at peace with the idea of a circumcision is to see an urologist and discuss your options but make your feelings known to them about you worries and preferences. I love my foreskin and have been lucky enough to have my issues resolved by a frenuloplasty despite my GP stating only a circumcision would fix me. Some men prefer the idea of a circumcision, for some the adjustment is too scary due to the irreversiblility of the op. For some, there sadly is not a choice. Don't be scared to ask for a second opinion and establish what your choices are. I wish you all the best.
Gryffidd has very good advice. Wish we close ,I could talk for hours . Typing too difficult. I live in Missouri. Just remember once your skin is gone that's final. Think you have to consider the money. A Surgeon is trained to cut and gets paid well to do that. Second opinion is good. I always want to ask surgeon "are you circed"
You can fix the tightness by applying tension. phimocure.net No recovery complications. Once it's cured, regular, frequent retraction then cures the hyper-sensitivity.
You will need hydrocodone 500 mg two perscriptions and Ibuprofen every few hours for first 20 days , then you need non stick band aid pads for the first 40 days to feel no sensitivity
keep stretching. gently when flaccid, then gently when you're able to do so erect. do it in the shower. yes, it will be a little painful at first. the glans is meant to be super sensitive. it will be less so in time. i would get a second opinion at an intact friendly gp. if all you require is a loosening of your frenulum and your gp is suggesting a full circ he is a for profit fraud. circumcision is no longer a widespread cultural practice in australia.
sorry maybe I wasn't clear enough. He did suggest snipping the frenulum thing as an alternative to circumcision. No mention about stretching/exercises though. I am not going to go through with any surgery for the moment, and focus on other things like you said. And I don't experience any sort of pain other than sensitivity. No infections etc. So i am not really in any rush to go to surgery. Thanks!!!
okay. just so you know, the vast majority of foreskins will require stretching, some more, some less. between the time i first manipulated versus the time i started having sex it stretched considerably. and, yes, it was a little painful at various times but nothing traumatic.
