I had my circumcision due to phimosis 5 days ago. Most surreal experience of my life. My glans have never seen the sunlight. Everything went well and in day 5 things feel ok. Except the sensitivity. I know I have to let keratinization to take place. Is there a way to speed up the process? My job doesn't allow me to take off more than 3 weeks. Any help would be much appreciated.

Unreal sensitivity after circumcision.
For me it was insane for 9 days and suddenly settled down. I wore a cricket box for 3/4 days which helped get me mobile and I think helped with the keratinisation.
Thank you so much for the reply. First 4 days were a nightmare for even wearing an underwear and I started eating better and forcing myself to wear underwear and majority of the glans are desensitizing. Only problem is the tip I guess the urethra. It looks swollen and very very sensitive. I fear an infection but post op appointment is end of the month. Peeing has also been a nightmare. It comes in narrow two streams and then get better mid stream and go back to being a sprinkler at the end lol.
I peed in the shower for like the first ten days or so. My stream has been off to one side for years due to balanitis affecting the meatus so I've always sat down to pee but that wasn't an option in the first few days because everything was so swollen. 2 and a half months on my stream is much improved. The tip will be very sensitive because it comes in contact with underwear and gets wet when you pee, for a while it was like I had a tie-dye glans - red at the tip and getting gradually paler as it went back to the scar line.
What do you mean by your glans have never seen the sunlight? You have never retracted your penis before since birth? If that is the case it might take some time to settle down. Is your frenulum still in tact? If it is it will take time too. Just wear micro fiber mini brief underwear for greater comfort. I was in your position before, don't worry - this too shall pass.
Yes I was never able to retract the skin over my glans. I hope so. And I don't think frenulum is intact anymore because that's where the most swelling is happening. Frenulum area was very sensitive first few days but it doesn't seem to cause me issues now. Also under there it's a mess. But I read here that it's the lymphatic fluid draining. Thank you for responding.
I was in the same situation, but by week 4 it had started to desensitize fast, now 12 weeks in and I’ve no issues whatsoever with sensitivity or discomfort..it just takes time😊👍
Yep,very happy now,no glans discomfort at all everything is healed up fine,I’m just waiting for some swelling around the frenulum and either side of the base of the glans to go down, but it takes up to a year for everything to heal completely and fluid to drain away so I’m not worried.I know it seems like everything revolves around dressings, cleaning and wrapping it up in gauze and Vaseline but It doesn’t last too long,
That's awesome. Hope you keep recovering. Things felt good today. Was able to finally walk without agony. So I guess sensitivity is going down. Inner foreskin or I should say former inner foreskin or what's left of it is inflamed. And feels like it's not going down much. Hopefully the swelling goes down. That's what's causing the most sensitivity and pain right now. And freaking nocturnal erections.. screw those lol.
You may try some vitamin A oil. Vit. A might work.
