Circumcision stitches

It's been 5 weeks after circumcision but still there are few stitches left. Is it ok? My doctor said it will go away on their own.

I'm at 4 weeks and my Consultant said the same, just wait it out and follow the medical advice.

Is there any swelling or abnormal formation in those places where there're still stitches? In my case I had 2 stitches that took longer to fall and several months later those areas are still a bit swollen, like you can tell there was something different going on there.

My incision line is not that smooth, the are bumps and ridges. I can not if there is swelling or not due to this type of insicion line, btw how long time did it take for last two stitches to fall out?

At 4th week my doctor took them out, I didn't want them to stay longer (neither him), don't know how long it would've take by their own. It's hard to tell whether it will have an effect later on, that was what happened in my case.

Not really, just a little bit when he was pulling them but it didn't last long

A little late on this, but that is not unusual, same thing happened for me. Most of my stitches were gone by about 6-7 weeks post op, the last couple fell out by about 8 weeks.
