Day 14 and a couple of my stitches seem to have come loose after nighttime erections. Anybody else experienced similar? Recommendations?
Hospital notes suggested bathing in salted water - anybody heard if this has benefited or not as it is stinging where I’m concerned about
By day 14 your stitches should be falling out/ dissolving anyway. I'd lost a lot of mine by then. I never used salt water, just ran warm water over the area. A little bit of Vaseline petroleum jelly might help.
Hi. I had what I thought was a pulled stitch due to night erections but my surgeon checked and said it was a stitch reaction which can happen as the body decides to try to reject the dissolving stitches which are essentially foreign material. As for salt. Yes. Did it daily. Fill a tumbler with 4tsp salt in boiled cooled water and dip your penis in it, slosh it about for 5 mins. Don't rinse salt off just dry.
why don’t you rinse the salt off ?

No, it's to help prevent infection. Salt is anti-bacterial, people also gargle salt water for a sore throat.
