Doctors don’t know what’s wrong with my penis please help!!

I am 20-years-old and have been freaking out for the past 10 weeks because my penis is constantly red and sore. The glans is red under the foreskin, the urethral opening is sore and red, and the frenulum feels very tight and stings where it meets the glans. Every time I masturbate the frenulum stings and hurts for a long time after. I abstained for 3 weeks and masturbated again, and my foreskin felt tight and glans a bit swollen, so much so that the foreskin was stuck behind the glans for a few minutes. I have seen the doctor 3 times and been treated with antifungal cream, lesion cream and antibiotics. The doctor doesn’t know what is wrong with me and has referred me to the consultant but I have been waiting for 5 weeks now and heard nothing. Does anyone have any idea what I might be suffering from or how to relieve these symptoms. Please help!!

It sounds like balanitis and while it is not pleasant it is not life threatening. As you know , because of Covid, the waiting lists for non-urgent problems are very long. You could try contacting a sexual health (GUM) clinic to see what f they can see you.

Are you sexually active other than masturbatiion?

Are you diabetic?

I am not sexually actively and I’m also not diabetic (that I know). I have had some possible autoimmune issues recently linked to me having covid - I’m getting blood tests done at the moment - but it’s to do with my liver and platelets rather than diabetes. I’ve been treated for Balanitis already but it didn’t make any difference. Thanks for the reply.
