Pain In Base Of Penis - Shooting At First, Now Dull Ache

Hi all,

Was inspecting the old chap (as normal) after a wee and moved it to the right (as I've done 1000 times over the past six weeks), there was a nasty shooting pain in the left side of my shaft near the base of my penis that went away quickly.

Had morning wood this morning and it hurt the same way in the same spot - left side of shaft at the base. It's just a small dull throb now at the base and on top of my left testicle. Wondered if anyone here had experienced the same, or if I should be worried I've done some damage.

Thanks all. Feels like a setback.

Hey mate ! Hard to say what it could be , as everyone has a different reason to pain down there. I’d highly recommended seeing a GP doctor who can assess and diagnose accordingly.

Hope you recover soon !

Keep us updated.

Yep, off to chat with the doc.

So... doc says it was most likely just a bit of healing tissue that was disturbed - there's no pain today, no swelling, no visible bruising, or anything to suggest internal bleeding or damage. Been told to monitor over the weekend and report back on Monday. He seemed to suggest that it's not the worst thing that can happen to tissue, the stretch may have repositioned the healing tissue slightly to where it should be healing and no pain today is a good sign. He said if I've been waddling for the past few weeks and walking in a protective stance, the fact I'm now walking normally is waking up sleepy leg muscles that can also exert penis pain. That said, he thinks it's most likely that the pain came from some healing tissue that was disturbed, and that aches and pains, even at 7 weeks, are definitely to be expected. Which is always reassuring to be reminded of. :)

Hi. Glad to hear there is nothing to be concerned about. Yeah you are in the process of healing and repairing. It was probably some tissue fibres stretching and tearing to repair . But do keep a close eye on it .

How’s ur overall recovery going ?

My recovery is probably going slower than most, but not as slow as others. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks for me. The first two weeks were horrible, but every week has been an improvement since. Now, there's swelling at the back round the frenulum, scar is still sensitive in places but nice and pink all round, and my head sensitivity is massively reduced, and I've been getting back to my normal routine since around week 4. I've wearing underwear without swabs or bandages since about week 5, and putting coconut oil on the whole thing is making a massive difference - very soothing, seems to be helping the scar settle down, and keeps friction at a tolerable level. I haven't had sex or masturbated yet, I just don't feel like I'm there yet, maybe at 8 weeks. Overall, I'm probably a week or so behind where I thought I'd be, but life is beginning to get back to normal. I have no idea when I'll be feeling 100% again - by that I mean not thinking about it. My doc keeps saying at the 3-month mark I'll be feeling more normal... I just keep reminding myself that only a few weeks back I was convinced I'd made a massive mistake and felt proper low, but now... well, it's improved massively. I feel like I'm at the point where I know and can see it's going in the right direction, so just to be patient with the healing and with myself.

Off to the docs with you Arclight, it's probably nothing but best to make sure. Make a mental note of when it started and does it persist during the day, is it only after nighttime erections or all erections.

Had a massive boner this morning. Didn't hurt. Just gonna talk to the doc and take it easy with the fella for a few days.

Well, there's no pain at all today. Gonna talk to my doc to be on the safe side. My gut says that as I'm recovering and back to walking properly, the muscles I wasnt using while I waddles are waking back up and I overstretched one and pain was exerted elsewhere. I'll keep you all posted.
