I was circumcised 2 days ago and was told by nurses to bath the best day and take off the bandage. Ive done this but not bathing again on the 2nd day my penis is extremely sensitive and I’m worried about getting an infection (hence why I’m bathing 2 days in a row) is this normal?

Bro I’m on day 14 and my dr told me to take it off the bandage the next day after procedure and not to take a shower for 3 days after. I waited for the 4th day and even when I did take a shower I hardly let any water touch it, just let the water kind of flow off my body onto my penis is that makes sense.

Thanks for the response, I’m also not sure if this is normal. I hope you don’t mind me asking (I feel I’ve not been told anything from the doctors or surgeons) is it normal for the head to be really sensitive. I can’t even have clothes touching it.

It will be very sensitive, mine is 2 weeks tomorrow and it’s still sensitive. Just make sure you don’t wear underwear or shorts to bed, let the air circulation help it desensitize it. I heard 6-7 weeks is when you see most of sensitivity drop. Mine the frenulum is super sensitive and very tender. The rest of the glans have pretty much de-sensitized.

im 2 months now still pretty sensitive but a lot bearable now, ill say around 60% of the hypersensitive is gone . Took me like around 1 month to see the sensitive start to reduce. Well good luck man i still have trouble wearing underwear since i still have a swelling ring which hurts a bit when my underwear tightens it.
