Circumcision
I know with only a month, you may still have some swelling? I am wondering how much skin was removed or not removed that that you can still pull “back my skin “ as you stated. We all heal differently. You did not mention how much swelling may be still there. Trying to offer best help I can. Give it time, or go back to Dr-thank you, rapid recovery
How much time it takes to fully recover??
Varies from person to person and overall heath. Mine was fully healed around 2 months or so. My process of keratinization did take around 8 months or so, as best I remember.
So the best thing is i should give time
Time, you will improve every day,
I personally did not use any creams. Follow Dr advice, or very other good suggestions on this forum-best wishes, & quick recovery. You will be fine
There is no wound left
That is a goo thing. You are recovering
Vaseline was my surgeon choice. When dermotology do an excision they use Vaseline too. They all hate Neosporin. Usually my choice for cuts but vaseline worked really well.
Yes, but sounds like he is fully healed around incision. I guess that would be a personal choice. I allowed air drying as soon as possible.
That's what I was wondering also. Did they take the skin or just do a dorsal slit? I haven't heard where they leave any skin on unless it done as a slit. In a case if they took it all, I would see doctor. It can take up to 3 months to heal. Shouldve been counseled to you before surgery. First during your appt with surgeon he tells you everything, pain control, how It done, basically everything. Then they send a lady down from insurance or office and will educate you on it again. Then she will ask about insurance or payment plans and etc. Tome it seemed funny a lady from office would talk about it. Then on prep day a nurse will say about same thing the others say. And they all would've/should've said what of surgery they are doing (dorsal versus complete), also they would talk pain control and how long to expect pain. My timeline was about 3 to 4 weeks healing and pain. But my pain has kind of stayed with me the past 5 years but not a real bad pain. They said it could be years for some because the nerve endings do not heal as quick on some as others. Make sure it is fully healed before you start sex as there could be a chance the skin will be thinner in some places where stitches were. So long post. So yes I was told by 3 different levels of workers what to expect. Doctor, office worker and nurse. Of course if the surgery comes in they ask you if you know what you're having done to verify you understand the procedure.
Very good response, unclear why many are not getting post-op instructions or fully explaining healing process. I can only relate to my healing
