Hi all, what a great site to see, I'm currently on day 8 after op, first few days are hell as I'm sure u all agree, my question is about the gland, seems like there's dried in knob chese lol, I've tried showering off, baby wipes etc, wondering if I could start with bio oil, seen a cheaper alternative called derma rescue oil, anyone used or recommend? Also when did yous start back to work? Cheers 👍

Welcome to the site.

The “knob cheese” may be dried lymph fluid. That is part of the healing process. As to scar oil, you should only start using that once your wound is completely healed over.

Thanks for your speedy reply, great should disappear overtime then? Should I use anything to break it up quicker? Bio oil has been ordered 😁

I used bio oil after the stitches fell off the the wound was completely close. It’s been 9 months for me and still bio oil to keep my glans from drying and to help the scar fade off!

I'll be waiting until they fall off before I apply any oil, I'll be using it religiously, it OK for the gland too?

Yes! I apply to the glans twice a day as well to make sure they don’t get dry! Bio oil is great to help fade off the scar!

Mine didn’t start falling until after week 2. The last one fell at about a month! But, I’ve heard where guys had their stitches fallen earlier than me!

I would not set out to remove the dried lymph until it just falls off. I certainly would not be forcing it off.
