Hi there, I'm 42 and for a few years I've had occasional problems with night-pee (Waking up several times a night to pee). I used Saw Pallmeto which helped, and occasionally I've stopped using it because there's no need.
For several weeks I wake up in the morning, and sometimes once or twice at night, with an erection and the urge to pee (which is then hard). I'm not used to that from younger ages, and it's a bit strange - feeling like the erection is to prevent peeing from sleep.
Do you have an idea what could it be? I didn't find any information about a situation like this, a Urologist told me he doesn't know about a condition of this sort.
Thank you,
Tafi

Can be a combination of lots of things, i had the same problem years ago and my doctor said that our body changes , at the time I was an heavy drinker and on antidepressants so most likely the medication and alcohol together didn’t help much lol . If this bothers you go to your doctor for a check up . We have the best doctors in the world in England . Is better to be safe then sorry!!
Thanks, I went to several doctors and they all looked at me like I'm a weirdo...
It's not about waking up in the morning with an erection (the common thing) but waking up even at night with an erection and an urge to pee like the pee is in the penis already, almost dripping. Like I woke up at the last minute. And one time, it's strange and even funny, but 1-2 times a night, it's strange...
Sounds a bit like what some women get after childbirth - urinary problems due to weak pelvic floor muscles. No idea what shape you’re in but perhaps strengthening those may help improve your urinary control? Wouldn’t harm you to look into it - better than taking pills & good for your health in general even if it doesn’t work!
Anytime you have a new health concern that bothers you it's best to consult your physician to rule anything serious out. I know you've discussed it with a urologist already but I would seek the services of another one if I were you. Good luck.
Makes you feel like a weirdo, right?? I've been experiencing the same thing for the last 2 years. I can't figure it out either. I've tried swapping meds around, no caffiene, coffee, holding my bladder during the day, etc. But, I think DLWhit that said the pelvic exercising might be onto something, though.
