Football after circumcision

Hi everyone. I want to ask your opinion.I am 11days after my circumcision.All is healing well,minor swelling can Still be seen.I really miss football,im playing competitively.I will have a match in 2 days time.Is it Risky? Should i go? How much time should i wait if not?

Your wound won't last kicks and hits yet. I wouldn't go on 13th day post-op. It is suggested to move and walk or even jog, but think again about the risks on field. It's your body, your choice.

I definetly wouldnt want to risk it im Just so eager to finally play.Thanks for the info i guess i will have to wait a bit more..

Definitely no imho, you need to rest. The impacts from football can cause so many internal complications. I am 25 post days circumcision, after urinating I've bled out my urethra. So in perspective, football impacts will cause regrettable complications.

The running around won't harm it but a heavy tackle or ball to the groin could be catastrophic! While it may be healed externally it takes around 6 weeks for the scar to reach full strength. Only a thought but a cricket box?!

Post 2 weeks any exercise (within reason and your own progress) should be okay. Any contact sport you'd want to minimise though. If it were me I'd get a good groin protector to insert into my underwear (If this is relating to soccer). If you discussing American football or an English Rugby equivalent I would avoid this for at least 4 or so weeks and then do the same as above. Any impact to your groin could do serious damage set back your recovery, stick to light training and protect the area as much as possible!
