Night erections

Am on day 10 Post circumcision night erections pain still wakes me up preventing me from sleeping well when will this settle and i can sleep normally??

I’m on day 11. Haven’t had issues with nighttime erections yet.I was told to keep my penis facing up towards my navel/face, sleep on my side not my back and tuck in my knees towards my body as comfortably as I can get them - that’s helped so far. Maybe try that?

Hi Man, that's great advice from SizweBrian. It's normal to have night erections it's just you don't really want them just after having a circumcision😊. If you wake up with one bend your knees forward towards your body this should help. Make sure to pee before you go to bed and if you wake up go. If it continues to be problem you could try some Sudafed decongestant tablets strangely one side effect is it can reduce you having erections. At you stage it's normal for some of the stitches to come out. Hope you can get a good night's sleep soon.

day 8 here, they keep waking me up aswell. i think best bet is just to wait for the wound to heal. it will maby get better in a week or so

I don't know did you wake up in pain or just afraid of losing stitches, but you can always support wound edges not to open or stretch by using strips of surgical tape over incision line.

Affordable one is called 'Micropore' or if you like to live like royals then go for 'Steri-Strip'.

Do remember to apply petroleum jelly etc. on wound first. The tape or a gauze won't stick in wound then.

I wake up in pain along the stitches and feeling that my penis is under pressure as if it will explode the pain goes away when the erection is gone ,, the wound is healing good and stitches :2/3 has fallen already but thanks will give it a try❤️

Hi Fezo,

I had the erections too! I think it's just a case of your body sending lots of blood to that area because it's in trauma. The pain started to really go away after 2-3 weeks.

Erections are a good thing.it speeds up the healing process

Defo the worst part of the recovery period for me. However once the stitches dissolved after 15 days, night time erections were less of a problem.
