Frenuloplasty scar stings and retraction is painful when erect

I had my Freuloplasty done 6 weeks ago, the sutures have fallen off and wound has healed well. However there is a bump on foreskin and glans where the sutures were.

My main concern is retraction while erect and white scar line which stings randomly. I am able to retract when flaccid with slight sting, when erect it was so painful that I did not dare to try it again. There is a white line formed where the scar was and it keeps stinging randomly across the day.

For now I applying vaseline(white petroleum jelly) and trying to massage and stretch the white scar line. I am worried about when it will heal fully and can retract the foreskin when erect. Super scared to even think of sex now.

Anyone else has faced this, how long till my penis is functional for sex ?

Even though stitches are out the healing process itself continues next 6-18 months. Normally scar will soften and get its elasticity back in six months. I hope you'll get too.

6-18 months is terriby long :( I went through this surgery only because my urologist told very confidently that the penis will be fully functional in 6 weeks .

That happened to me. I got a circ for tightness and excess foreskin and they just spoke like it’ll all be good in 6 weeks. I’m still not confident in it even after 6 months.

Did you had a circumcision and frenuloplasty

Frenuloplasty as mentioned in my post header. I keep wondering now if circumcision would have been better.

I had frenuloplasty+zsr circumcision. Healed pretty well by 3rd week. I have the same white line near frenulum. It looks okay but mild swelling is there. I hope it'll get back to normal soon.

I had a frenuloplasty in November 2020. The urologist stated I would forget that I ever had surgery after about three months. He was wrong. I have yet to have intercourse after surgery because 1: I don't have a current sexual partner and 2: I still periodically feel a soreness at the site where the frenulum was tearing before the frenuloplasty. I can feel scar tissue and there is a very slight portion of tissue that I think needs to be severed under the glans. Masturbation is okay with plenty of lube but I fear that intercourse would be painful at this point. Sometimes after a solo session I can see what I can only describe as a "micro" tear at the frenulum attachment site. It's noticeable and sometimes it stings when I shower and soap under the glans. I'm going give it another three months before I go back for another consultation. Would I have a frenuloplasty again? Yes. The surgery did lengthen the frenulum but I think the healing process interfered with the expected outcome. I had bleeding for a couple weeks after surgery because of the massive erections that ripped open sutures. I called the doctor's office was told by a nurse that everyone heals differently and the doctor would see me for post op follow up in 6 weeks. It seemed odd to me to not have a post op follow up for 6 weeks.
