Foreskin covering the head when erect

Hi,

I have a question regarding my foreskin, it covers the head even when fully erect, I can pull it back without any pain, is this normal? I keep reading that the foreskin should retract automatically on its own when erect. Is this normal?

Every foreskin is different. You are within normal limits. Enjoy your foreskin - just remember to keep it clean.

What you have is very normal and a good situation.

Pain while retracting is not good. And skin retracting automatically depends on how tight the foreskin is. After extensive and regular use (and abuse) the skin tends to lose its elasticity and this can cause the skin to retract faster or even stay retracted.

What you have is a perfectly natural and normal state. It’s good to be in that situation.

However, daily during shower, pull the foreskin back and wash so that there is not accumulation of smegma and so that it doesn’t smell bad. Keep good hygiene in that area.

Sounds normal to me. There's more variation down that than with any other part of the body, and if you google "foreskin coverage index", you'll see pictures of how long and how short foreskins can be. For what it's worth, I'm about CI-6 soft, and CI-4 hard.

You could have surgery for cosmetic reasons, but in your position, I wouldn't.

What you describes sounds like the normal range or appearance of erect penises. I can only speak about my penis, and my foreskin completely retracted with little elasticity to the retracted foreskin, it could not recover the glans again until flaccid. Personally I would be horrified and disgusted to have a foreskin like yours, but it is yours, so my reaction is unimportant. A super long foreskin can be a problem on erection, it would be like trying to walk when your pants are half off and you trip over the loose trousers. But that is not your problem.

People go on about washing your inner foreskin and glans. From my experience penis hygiene works for removing dead skin, secretions, hairs and fluff. It does not work for the nauseating smell. I am telling you, no one wants to be intimate with a men with a smelly dick. I also could not urinate properly ( I sprayed everywhere!) without retracting my average length retractable foreskin, and I also had PPP, which is an intimacy killer. But again, that isn't you.
