Scar line bumpy

Hi all, is it normal for my circumcision scar line to be a little bit bumpy? It’s 4 weeks in now since my surgery?

Will this become smooth?

The scar lines for all surgeries tend to be a little bumpy. Hopefully the scar will fade and moisturising the healed wound might help that.

If the bumps are between the stitches were, then having just done my follow up appointment where I asked about this.I was told it can take up to 6 months for them to reduce.

Bring it up on your follow up appointment.

If they are painful, sore,weaping etc then see your doctor now.

The outcome depends upon the surgical skills of the surgeon. Most will smooth out in time, but some stitch marks are permanent.
