Lines or scars along penis head

Hello, I am a 21 year old who has been experiencing scars or lines on the penis head. I've never injured my penis head before but I masturbated vigorously when I was young starting in middle school without much lube. In terms of hygiene I gently wash my penis with water in the shower and dab it dry with toilet paper after I urinate . The scars don't bother me as much besides a slight sting when I poke around at it. They have been with me for a while and I would like to do something about them. I've tried using more lube (coconut oil) when I masturbate and cutting back on masturbating but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Could some one explain to me what this is and how I can treat it?

I read on reddit that those lines are from retracting the foreskin before the glans has fully developed its skin. Maybe you should ask your doctor! They don’t look too bad though, don’t worry 😉

I don't see anything that would worry me. Your glans looks very similar to the way mine looked when I was your age.

The lines look as though they are fairly deep, however, in my experience they never gave me any pain.

I'm not a medical professional, only speaking from experience.

I suggest that you speak to your doctor on your next visit.

When you get an erection the glans swells as well as the shaft lengthening. When the glans swells, it has a larger area to be covered. This is provided for when flaccid by the 'folded' effect that you see in your picture.

Often the folds are not noticed when the owner is uncircumcised because they are filled with moisture that collects under the foreskin.

I have lines running down my upper side of my glans as well, giving it a raspberry appearance, though my lines not very deep..

Mine are on the upper side of the glans.

I suspect mine come from tugging on my foreskin. When I pull it forward to cover the glans, it often doesn't feel quite right so I give it a tug to pull it the rest of the way. This momentarily separates the inner foreskin from the glans and while not painful, the feeling is unpleasant. I wonder if my action is pulling cells off of my glans. Also, this only happens on the upper side of the glans.

My lines don't bother me. In fact, my GP said that's just the way I'm made.

You did mention a slight stinging sensation when you poke at it.

I suggest showing it to your GP if you haven't already and to see a urologist about the stinging sensation.
