Keloid scars post circumcision

Hi all,

I am on month 5 post adult circumcision and everything seems to be healing well. I do have a few hard raised bumps which look like they are "keloid" scars after a bit of googling. My question is is this normal after a circumcision? And do they go down on their own eventually or am I stuck with them? I am using Bio Oil daily to hopefully smooth out the scar. How long typically will the scar take to soften and blend in? (I know it won't completely disappear).

Any advice appreciated!!

Yes it is normal. To say when it will be sooth up is utterly depends on each individual Male's body type and a lot more so be patient mate.

I had some keloids on my scar too. My dr had me come back after I was healed up. He removed them to even out the scar.

Did your doc say that is normal? Was it much better after? My keloids are not too noticable. Hopefully they smooth out over time. Don't like the idea of having to get them cut off!

Dr said it was normal, and yes it was much better after. I wasn't thrilled about going back under the knife but it was such a small procedure, I was in and out about 30 minutes. I have pictures of my scar after posted on my profile.

I have them too on the frenulum area and all around (it is still swollen)... My doc said that he can remove them with surgery or we can wait and see how it goes on. I obviously wait but probably it will be needed another op....

What exactly did your doctor? I am wondering about procedure of "even out". Thank you in advance.

There was bumpy uneven parts around my circ scar. When I went back he numbed it and cut the raised areas.

Ohh I see. Did he cut bumps with a scalpel, laser? Did he put there a stitches? Or how did they heal?

Thank you

Scalpel, no stitches, they healed about a week

Dr did this two different occasions. My results, so I'm told are very well done. I had it done in 2018. Now in 2020 I am pleased with the outcome. Scar is pretty minimal compared to some adult circs

How long did they healed after you had it redone with the scalpel? Also you did it twice, one in 2018 & another one in 2020? Why twice, It reappeared?

I have the exact same issue, its not noticeable but it seems to be progressing as the scar is raising. Its been five months post surgery as well. I’ve used topical treatments nothing is getting rid of the scar. Its also a bit sensitive. I have a pic on my profile. Would love if someone give me some advice
