Circumcision pulling penis to one side? Is it possible?

I called my urologist who will hopefully get back to me tomorrow, but I've been wondering about this. My penis is more curved to the left. When erect it leans left like 15-20 degrees. I've always had a straight erection.

For reference, I went to a different urologist about 3 years ago with a concern because I had a change in curvature. I thought it was Peyronies. My first time ever going. I don't go to the doctor lightly. The curve was slight, but I knew it was different. He examined me and felt it all over and said there was nothing. I didn't have it. Now after my circumcision it's been leaning even more left. Because of the skin tightness, I'm entertaining the possibility the skin is tighter on one side and that's pulling it down. It would make some sense since my swelling is asymmetrical. I also would find it weird if Peyronies existed back then, but didn't progress at all for 3 years. Does my theory make sense? Anyone else have this with skin tightness after their circ? Because of residual swelling I don't know how to judge any bumps.

Edit: I've found on a few urology center websites that bowed erections are possible after circumcision if more skin is taken off one side. I measured and my left side is shorter to the scar line. If this is the issue, anyone know if it's likely to stretch out? Or will I need to consider a revision in the future?

Mine curves more left now, I have to get it fixed, there is a weird piece of tight scarring causing it. I haven't been back to the urologist yet.

Damn. Sorry to hear. You think it's the scar line itself and the skin on that side? How long ago was your circ?

Edit: I remember your earlier post. You're a week and half behind me then. We're on a very similar timeline. I'll let you know what my urologist says when he calls me back.

I talked to my urologist. I'll paraphrase what I can.

He said that normally the skin accommodates the erection, that curvature is usually due to deeper scarring. However, he didn't seem to think it was Peyronies. He just told me to give it more time to heal. From all I've looked at with deeper scarring, Peyronies is all it is called. Maybe it can be a result of deeper tissue damage that is temporary. I did mention to him a couple things about my case:

- The scar line is very different on either side and the right is more swollen.

- I don't feel any lumps whatsoever anywhere when squeezing. Not that I'm qualified, but I can't feel a difference in the hardness of the tissue to indicate a plaque is there. I feel like it would be apparent.

Contrary to what my urologist said though, at this link noharmm.org/IDcirc.htm

I found:

" Uneven removal of tissue during circumcision can cause skin to be tighter on one side of the penis than the other. Bowing or curvature during erection can result. Curvatures can also be congenital (from birth) or the result of Peyronie's Disease."

Also on the foreskin restoration wiki (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fores...

"In some men, foreskin restoration may alleviate certain problems they attribute to their circumcision. Such problems include prominent scarring (33%), insufficient penile skin for comfortable erection (27%), erectile curvature from uneven skin loss (16%), and pain and bleeding upon erection/manipulation (17%). "

The part I bolded above appears to apply to me. While I'm not sure on the curvature, there is at least literature that describes uneven skin loss as a cause. While I believe my urologist has been great so far, he wouldn't be quick to admit he removed too much skin on one side. After a few months we'll see if I can get that conversation.

In your case, you might have had a similar result. I guess we give it more time to see if it stretches out. Uneven skin loss is a far better prognosis tbh.

What problem is the curvature causing you?

Discomfort as it feels tight. I suspect it's impacting erections. I also would just like it to be straight. It always has been.

Is your erection weak?

Yes, they feel weak 90% of the time. But when I can get what seems like a full one, it's still curved and tight. My balls get pulled up as well. I knew that from the beginning it was impacting my length, but I'm concerned why I'm leaning left as well.

Could it be due to still having some swelling?

I assume it's possible. My right side is disproportionately swollen, where the left shows no swelling. The frenulum is the most swollen of everything. I didn't know swelling could cause bowed erections though. I googled around to see if it could, and didn't come up with anything.

Like Hidden i suspect that there will be an effect from residual swelling and the need for tissue to stretch. I notice, looking back, that at your update a month ago there was no mention of this problem. Part of what you are going through may be the search for perfection. My advice would be to stop worrying and see what your situation is in a few months time. In the meantime concentrate on what you can do with your penis and appreciate it.

The results of any surgery can never be guaranteed (something I am well aware of) and circumcision is no different. Be thankful that you will have got rid of the medical condition that prompted your procedure.

Yeah I didn't mention it because it kind of developed this week. Erections have been tight since the circumcision but there was no curving. I assure I'm being objective here, but perhaps the scarring on the left is tougher than the right. My scar line is asymmetrical right now. If the skin on the right is more pliable, it's possible that's why the left is pulling it down.

I know I might be skiddish by assuming it's Peyronies. I think that because phimosis has tormented me my whole life, I'm hyper aware and want to avoid something else that is serious. With Peyronies it's important to act in the acute stage, so I'm making sure. I am gonna focus even more on treating my scar to loosen it up. Hopefully my urologist calls me back tomorrow. I appreciate your consistent responses. You've been a great help.

Happy to help. Take care of yourself and you where to come if you need to.

That was a big write up. You must be younger. Thanks for all the info, I'll go see my urologist in the next few weeks. I think he may have to do a review to cut out some hard lumps, I'll let you know.

I'm 29. I'm just thorough. I'm an engineer so I tend to do this kind of analysis regularly with everything haha. Best of luck, man.
