Circumcised penis questions

I was circumcised a few years ago as an adult. The operation went well and the under-side of my penis felt quite tight for a few days after the operation. Now it's pretty tight when erect - sort of like the amount of skin movement on the underside of the forearm.

I'm considering a re-circumcision as I originally wanted to have my head completely exposed under all circumstances and a really tight cut. When I wear snug to tight-fitting briefs the skin bunches up all around the rim of my head. When I'm not wearing underwear the shaft is pretty smooth with little bunching, however, there is still movement.

When I sit the skin bunches up and slightly covers my head.

When I'm fully erect the skin is pretty smooth however there is still movement where I can move the skin over about half of the head of my penis.

Questions for those that are circumcised or have a good knowledge of men who are circumcised...

1: How much play/movement should there be with the amount of skin on my shaft?

2: When wearing tight-fitting underwear/briefs is the bunching a normal occurrence?

All I'm looking for is sincere advice on experiences to help me to know whether an adequate amount of skin was removed or not.

Hi there. There are different types of circumcision styles: high or low, tight or loose. Yours sounds like it is fairly loose and a good circumciser would be able to make it tighter for you. If you are a grower then it will probably need to be left so that there is still some loose skin when you’re flaccid. If you’re a shower then you should be able to get it so it’s pretty tight all the time. I had a second circumcision when I was 20 as I wanted it really tight. (You can see my penis in my posts.) I am a shower so I don’t have much skin movement when flaccid. So if you get circumcised again make sure you specify exactly how you want it. And do research into getting a very good circumciser.

I have no bunching at all and I have no skin movement when erect. My circumcision is very tight and exactly how I wanted it. But I am a shower so I was able to have it cut that tight. If you are a grower you will probably prefer it a bit looser or you could get skin pulled onto your penis from your pubic area and scrotum or your penis might get pulled into your body and appear smaller.

Thanks 135Peter. I thought that it would be prudent of me to post a photo to at least get an opinion on the type of circumcision I've got.

This photo I'm totally flaccid. I probably double in size when getting erect.

With that level of growth a tight flaccid cut may cause issues when you are erect. I am at a loss, however, to understand why bunching in your underwear is of any great concern to you unless you know a lot of people with x-ray vision.

Hi Man, that is very good advice from Peter. It's hard to tell from your photo are you cut high or low. I think it could be a low-cut is your scar closer to your glans or is it further up your shaft. it does look a little loose but as Peter said you may need it when you are fully erect. If you were to have it redone you would need a very experienced surgeon with lots of experience.

Yes you are quite a grower and you will probably need to keep some loose skin when flaccid as the guys above say. You may be able to have some removed though so it wouldn’t do any harm to have a chat with an experienced circumciser. You have a very nice penis with a good shape.

It sounds like you need the extra skin to comfortably allow for an erection. If you were to get circumcised again to remove more of the shaft skin, your already thigh erection could be uncomfortable or you may have scrotum or lower shaft skin from the base of penis start to pull and travel up toward the head of your penis.

If you were to get re-circumcised, I suggest you go to a doctor that specializes in cosmetic circumcision so that you can ensure you get exactly what you want. A doctor that focuses on the aesthetic result will be able to advise you well and if your desire is in line with what is possible. I also would choose to preserve all of the inner foreskin (the area of sensitive skin between the scar and head) and have them remove shaft skin to tighten things up.

It seems that you are a grower. You may not be able to achieve that tight feeling flaccid because from what you have said it was tight underside but loosened up over time to as you are now.

Skin doesn't bunch up for me with snug briefs.

I think your penis looks beautiful this way. If I were you, I wouldn’t do it again. What you described above is happening to me as well - my surgeon stretched my penis and told me he wouldn’t recommend tighter cut otherwise I might feel discomfort during erections.

I was cut 5 months ago and the scar is still very visible. Yours looks smooth - how long did it take till it healed like this?

Hi Wm27. I applied Vitamin E oil once a day and rubbed it in once the stitches fell out. It didn't take too long to get it to look like that. Give your penis time and as the time passes the scar will smooth out a bit.

I am in the same boat man. Whilst soft I have some skin bunching behind the head but when hard the skin is taught. I also experience a bit of roll over when it’s cold or whilst wearing underwear but when wearing looser fitting clothes or when it warm there is no bunching because the penis is fully retracted from my body. Whilst sitting do get a bit of roll over too but that is Normal. Like you I’m a grower so if I were to have a very tight cut while soft it would not allow for full erections. I asked my urologist about this and he agreed that in my case there needs to be a bit of excess while soft.

I think everyone is different and not everyone can have a totally tight circ in all situations. It appears your doc did a good job and the bunching and rollover you are experiencing is normal for a grower.

Hi there, This is a picture of my second or third operation. I wasn't happy with the first one and wanted it tightened up. The first one was quite high and loose. The second one was made lower and medium tightness and the third one is low and tight (my preference, for sure).

For the first two procedures I had quite a bit of movement when erect, now there is very little movement. I was looking for very little movement originally.

Dr. Bharami in Toronto, Ontario. He's a very skilled surgeon and listened to my wants and he was happy to oblige me. It was a simple setup that he has and I was in and out of there in 2 hours. His cost was $1000.00 CDN cash. But he gives you a receipt.

I've always masturbated holding my shaft skin tight. It's just how I've always enjoyed it. I would get very frustrated when there was too much movement as I wouldn't be able to feel it as much and the sensation wasn't as intense.

Speak to your doctor about it and they'll have some good advice. Any doctor should be able to give you close to what you're looking for. My initial worry was having too much skin taken, but the surgeon that I had, had performed many adult circumcisions and knew what he was doing. Communication is key.

In addition, you can also draw two lines on your shaft. One somewhere on your inner foreskin and one somewhere on your outer foreskin and then pinch the skin together at those lines with your fingers and see how tight it will be. It will give you an idea of just how much skin can be taken and from where. This might also allow you to give your doctor an idea of where and what you want taken.

My second circumcision I talked with the doctor while he marked up my shaft with a marker. And I asked him to remove more than what he had marked and he obliged.

I had all of my circumcisions done mostly for personal preference. I just like the look and feel of it. I'm not against foreskin at all as my husband still has his. Now we've got the best of both Worlds.

I’m curious if the input on this forum post helped you decide on getting a tighter circumcision. As my circumcision results are similar to yours. Mine bunches up when I wear snug fitting boxer briefs, and a foreskin still covers a slight part of my dick head when I’m flaccid. I also have movement when I’m erect. And yes I am able to pull my skin over my penis a little bit but it doesn’t stay since I am circumcised but I was hoping for tighter non-movement, but I am glad it’s not too tight. I’ll just be happy that my doctor did a nice job all around

The forum on this website helped give me the encouragement to move in the direction that I wanted to go. I guess deep down inside I already knew what I wanted to do and just needed to process it. My husband told me after my second circumcision that I may never be happy with the results, however after the third procedure I'm very happy. Sure, there are things that I would have had done slightly differently, but there comes a point where one has to ask themselves if the need is greater than the want.
