Tight foreskin? Paraphimosis?

Hey,

So I feel like I have quite a tight foreskin, when I have sex or masturbate too hard sometimes my foreskin gets stuck under the head of my penis, which can be quite painful and I find it hard to get it back up.

Also under my foreskin I feel is really sensitive and it almost hurts to touch?

Any suggestions? I’m quite embarrassed to go to the doctors because I’d feel I’d have to get an erection to demonstrate?

If you do not go to the doctors you will not get any treatment. Worse case scenario, you could lose part or all of your penis. Your doctor will be well used to seeing penises! nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/

If your foreskin is getting stuck behind the head, please visit your doctor. I know it might be embarrassing but they have seen so many of them that it is second nature for them to deal and diagnose. You don't have to demonstrate with an erection. In fact, my doctor diagnosed me just by looking at it flaccid and knew right away what was up, my symptoms, etc. Schedule a visit and let us know how it goes.

So yeah the guys have already answered it aptly so just let me add on to that . You might be having a short frenulum or a tight foreskin(phimosis) or both and when you pull it down and masturbate , as the head of the penis grows it gets "stuck" behind the tight ring that the foreskin makes and in response more blood is sent to the penis head(glans) . This is an acute and painful condition called paraphimosis and is an absolute nightmare to anyone .

To prevent this , try to not pull the foreskin down and masturbate for now and go meet a doctor . Since they are trained to see these kinds of things no one is going to be judging you so don't worry . There is no need for you to have an erection to be diagnosed as well . And being sensitive is a very common occurrence which is very much natural and as the glans/head gets more and more exposed without the foreskin it will get sensitized with time.

So for now best is to go to a doc , get diagnosed and get the help you need . All the best !

Phimosis (tight foreskin) will not cure itself and you need medical intervention, so see your doctor as soon as possible.

Paraphimosis can easily become a medical emergency, putting the life of the glans at risk. Again, only your doctor can advise on the best course of action to avoid it.

Remember that embarrassment was never fatal, whereas some conditions can be.

Hi. Has this suddenly happened or has it always been the case ? Mine foreskin has suddenly become tight too and I can only get it back to just uncovering the glans whereas it used to retract fully when erect. It still retracts fully when flaccid but not so when erect. I understand your concern re the gp but I am sure they will be fine as mine was. I took a short vid of my erect penis to show him how difficult it was to retract and he was fine with it and thanked me saying I did not need to feel at all embarrassed as it is great for the gp in order to know what is happening so dont feel embarrassed. Thanks for the reply. It’s always been like this form me and I think it’s time I did something about it. Is it better to go to a sexual health clinic or my regular GP?
