Had a minor impact to the bottom of my penis that has caused stinging pain for several days. I went in to the doctor to make sure I didn't have a fracture or anything like that and with a very quick physical exam they said it was most likely urethritis from the injury or irritated tissue. I don't have any pain when I urinate, just a transient stinging pain (about 2-3 out of 10) which gets a little worse during erection. Are any of you familiar with urethritis or irritated tissue caused by an injury? I can't find much information about injury induced urethritis or urethritis that doesn't hurt more when urinating so I was wondering if this would be the most likely explanation

Thanks. The info I read seems to say that urethritis usually causes pain while urinating. My pain comes and goes throughout the day but doesn't hurt while urinating.

Perhaps it is just some inflammation or bruising rather than a more severe damage to the urethra. If it does not resolve then get yourself back to the doc. You might then need to see an urologist.
