Is my meatus normal?

So im 19 and i have this mild redness around my meatus. It had been there for quite a while BUT it never caused any discomfort ( no pain, itch... ever). Sometimes after i shower or masturbate it would swell up a bit but always go down after a few minutes. I didnt visit the doctor about the matter because, like i said, it never caused any discomfort. Should i pay some extra attention, visit the doctor or leave it be?

Redness around the meatus is most often the result of stale urine 'burning' it. This should never happen if you are circumcised but is fairly common when a foreskin traps the last few drops.

If in doubt, see a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

hi Jerry1 when you shower what soap do you wash him in also when you masterbate do you use any lube take care be safe

i just use normal body soap all the time. i have a slightly long foreskin so i sknt use lube.

I wash mine with dermal 200 which is very good and use coconut oil for masterbation belive me this is the best and its cheap keep safe

I can’t see any mild redness in the picture you posted. Looks normal to me.

But don’t put off a chat with your doctor if you are worried.
