Day 7 op, stinging and burning sensation are on and off over the last couple days. Is it normal to have sharp pain recurs like that, do I need to expect this over the next couple weeks? is the yellow ooze normal, it's not too excess but I can definitely see it drying at the back of the glans. it's been hard to sleep.

STINGING PAIN and yellow ooze
Yes the first two weeks are a bitch.
How do you cope? Sometimes it feels like the veins are causing that pain and not so much the wound From the incision..
Any other tips for me to survive?
Hey, yes this is normal for the first few weeks as Nycpiza said. Unfortunately since it's such a sensitive area it's gonna hurt while healing. What helped me was paracetamol for the pain one morning and one night for sleeping. Try keep the penis rigid, a non-advesive bandage during the day and tight boxers to keep it from moving loads. Make sure to wash with salt water to clean the puss and the incision to avoid infection. Otherwise it's a waiting game but it will get better
hi Bryce, thank you for the reply. I've washed my wound with sodium chloride solution and wrap it with gauze every 1 or 2 days.
however, I am getting yellow ooze and blood drying up over a couple stitches. I am not sure if this is okay or if I should try to dissolve them to free the stitches which will eventually be taken out around my 10th day op. I'm curious whether by not being able to free the stitches from the blood and ooze, new skin will somehow bury the stitches or something like that haha this is my first surgery.
Preferably the wound should be cleaned daily especially the first week or two, it helps keep clear from infection and dry blood forming. Are your stitches dissolvable or as you say they will be removed by the surgeon? Definately don't touch them yourself as it can lead to the wound opening and infection, follow the guidance you were given.
Blood leaking is perfectly normal, if it starts just hold a non-adhesive bandage to the wound and it should stop. It was my first surgery too so I know its scary, any questions feel free to PM me bud!
That's very good advice
