Dry blood 10 days after circumcision

Hi guys,

I’m 10 days post op now and things are getting easier. It’s obviously still quite sensitive and will take a fair bit longer to get better but not been as bad as what it’s been. One concern I do have though is dry blood just under the glans and more on the frenulum site. These have been there since day 1 and I’ve been bathing and drying with the gauze pads, and when patting the dry blood clots they’ve been wearing away very slowly but surely but they are very hard which explains the longevity. Is it normal to have this dry blood there? Should I focus on getting as much removed as possible or just bathe and pay dry as normal until it goes away?

Thanks!

Scabbing is part of the healing process. The scabs will come off when they are ready. In the meantime, leave them be.

Thank you. Coincidentally, I woke up this morning to the wound bleeding. I'm not sure if it's come from under the glans or the frenulum but there was freshly dried blood all over my legs. There hasn't been any bleeding since my first day after the operation. Could this be because of the stitching dissolving?

I was circumcised in June. And what caused my bleeding were those darn erections while I slept. This happened to me for the entire first week. By, the second week, I noticed less and less blood. It was just a drop or two so I wasn’t that worrried.

Yep, they’re the only issue I’m facing and they’re so annoying. If I wear boxers while sleeping I fear that the stitches will snag somewhere and it’ll cause damage so I just go without and deal with the risk of a few drops. Since you had it done a while ago how are things now? Is everything as normal as it was pre circumcision?

Why don't you wrap your penis on gauze until the stitches are gone?

I did for the first few days but when the bleeding stopped I stopped using a gauze. I’m hoping it was just a one off or it’s an infrequent thing. There was only a bit of blood last night as well so it wasn’t too bad

Just do whatever makes you happy. I just wonder, is it that difficult or discomfort to use gauze for protecting the incision site for first couple of weeks.

There’s no discomfort or anything when wearing a gauze but there’s not really much need in me wearing one given my current situation. I’m working from so I’m not out much. If I do go out however I do use it to prevent it rubbing. If bleeding does become more common though I think it may be a wise idea

I started sleeping naked right after my circumcision and have continued!

After 5 months I think I am 99% healed. Occasionally after a hardcore masturbation session my frenulum are has a slight discomfort. But, that’s probably because I’m pulling too hard. Still exploring different techniques when masturbating.

So, I would say everything is like it was pre circumcision minus the foreskin!

How much discomfort would you say? Very mild? How long was it until things were “normal enough” so to speak? Vaguely, when is it safe to masturbate again would you say

The discomfort is very mild almost nothing. Things felt normal for me at three months mark. We all heal at different pace.

It is more likely to be the result of an erection while asleep.

That's what I thought too, just a bit curious as to why for the past week or so it's been fine. I assume that even 11 days post op any bleeding caused by this is still normal. I've been sleeping wearing nothing as I find it more comfortable; would you recommend continuing that way or wearing something tight fitting?

A lot of guys say that they wear nothing in bed. I think it is a matter of personal choice. Wishing you well for the rest of your recovery.

It really depends on the intensity of the erections.

Hey just wondering when the scabbing eventually went away? I’m on day 11 and the scabbing is what’s causing most discomfort for me
