Hi, I got circumcised almost 3 days ago and my penis is very swollen is there anything I can do so stop the swelling. Btw I haven’t wore a gauze because urology didn’t put one on me and they haven’t told me to wear one. Not sure if they help or not but what can I do to stop swelling or will it just go down on it’s own?.

Your swelling will show more tomorrow when you hopefully remove the pressure bandage. Swelling does not have a specific time frame everyone is different. The swelling should go down a lot over the next few days/weeks monitor it. You can try and place your penis vertically to allow the fluid to drain away. Some people recommend ice 🧊. But in all fairness I wouldn’t mess with it and just allow it to sort itself out naturally. As long as you are able to pass urine you should be fine. After day 3 you can have quick showers do make sure you keep your penis clean and dry and follow the aftercare instructions.
And the answer to your question about wearing gauzes this is 100% up to you I feel they help keep nasty stuff out and helps keep the penis clean throughout the day and it makes it more comfortable to sleep walk around for around a week-2weeks when you are healed enough to take the plunge into desensitising the glans to your underwear
Thank you! Really hope the swelling goes down soon and I didn’t get a pressure bandage? I didn’t get nothing like that.
It should do. Because you have nothing covering your incision area do make sure you keep it clean and dry especially after your 3rd day you can have quick showers.
But definitely monitor it because you don’t have any protection over your incision area.
I’ve been cleaning it, just hope nothing bad happens to it lol cause I have the worst luck going.
You should definitely by some gauze to apply to your incision with some medical tape, it's not the best idea to leave it open unless you are laid naked in bed, but me I went out and walked and everything without a bandage it would've been impossible due to the new sensitivity. I must also advise you to look at your options for gauze, I found a fine weave or soft blend or something, it was fluffy gauze instead of stringy might've been called woven gauze now I think about it. The other stuff the surgeon first applied was awful, I'd have to pull the strands out of my bloodied scab and some got trapped from time to time.
