Circumcised because of phimosis

Hey I’m 18 and had phimosis my whole life. I got circumcised yesterday and this is the worst pain I ever felt.when I pee I have to push really hard and my urethra is swollen shut.does that mean something went wrong? Please help me.and also the head of my penis looks green/white

If you are not able to pee because your urethra is totally occluded then you should seek medical assistance.

I can pee a Little bit but it hurts really bad do you think that’s because of the swelling?

in reply to

I suspect that swelling is causing the problem but it might be as well to check with your doctor or surgeon.

in reply to

I did and she said that it gets worse before it gets better whatever that means.

Ya Tim I got circumcised 3 days ago for the same reason and same age. It definitely hurts to pee and Is really uncomfortable but I guess that’s just how it is for the first few days I honestly think it’s been getting worse but we’ve gotta remember our penis just got beat up super bad basically so it will take a while to start getting better. It seems more swollen now than ever and it really sucks but I’m just trying my best to get through it I’m sure it will get better and I saw my doctor on the 2nd day to remove the bandage around it and he says it looks like it’s supposed to and it should start improving soon so just trying to get past this I can’t wait to be done with it, already so tired of this bs on the 3rd day

It gets much better as the days go by you have got this mate keep up with your aftercare maintaining your penis. Keeping it clean and dry. Any medical concerns or questions contact your GP or surgeon.

I wish you the best recovery

I know you feel like you need to push real hard but just relax down there and pee. Get yourself a jug and stand and pee into that monitor the colour of your pee as the days go by. As you say you are pushing hard on it I’ve done that in the past you just need to relax it’s you that controls the release of your pee. You’ve got this mate make sure you are putting enough fluids into your body especially water not too much not to little be sensible with putting fluids into your body. If you are seriously struggling to pass urine contact your GP or get to A&E.

Aye.thanks guys I appreciate your help this helped me out a lot! I’ll keep you guys posted good luck buddy your lucky you already got one day ahead of me!!

Ya no problem, same here, I’ll keep you updated. Luckily I have nothing going on in my life right now so I’m just full time recovery and basically just been staying in bed naked. I’m a bit worried though because I haven’t pooped since the day before my surgery which was 4 days ago but I heard it’s just because of the pain killers and anesthesia and I haven’t really had the urge. I also was instructed to put on vasoline on the head which I haven’t got to yet because it is just so sensitive and I can’t touch it but hoping I can bear it tonight or tomorrow.

I've been circumcised 3 weeks ago. Don't worry guys you've got this. By the end of the first weeks you'll be feeling much more better. The first three days are the absolute worst; keep that in mind. For me mental stability has been the hardest to control, but its way better now. Don't overthink the situation like I did you will do just fine, just remember that you have to GIVE IT TIME.

For me personnaly after 2 week I was back to work. I work in aviation and have to sometimes do some drilling and stuff in really thight places, its somewhat uncomfortable still (when im off to work i wear a gauze to help), but bearable. Not like those first days that whenever it slightly touches something it feels like a cheese gratter on your dick. Im still looking forward to do my activities normally but I believe that in a week or 2 its going to be almost back to normal.

Also swelling is starting to go down slowly... but surely! Oh yeah and try not to wank off too early... or do just like I did if you really have to let it all out; only rub the glans gently without touching the incision. I covered the tip with a lubricated condom to appease my need. It felt absolutely GREAT.

Don't give up guys!

London 432 knows what he is talking about as he is about your age and had his own circumcision very recently for phimosis.

Things do seem to get worse for the first few days but then start to improve.

Urinating can be a problem whilst you have a lot of swelling. It distorts your meatus (piss slit) and can make you 'spray', so it is advisable to sit to pee until the swelling reduces enough to allow a normal jet again.

Don't just lie around in bed. Do get up and move about as it really does help.

Hey guys.i just woke up and this was the worst night for erections.any ways I wake up to blood everywhere even in my metus(piss slit).is that normal

Take a close look when urinating to see if urine is bloody. I would call the doctor if that is the case. It may be just blood that made its way from your incision area.

As Carl33 has said, look at your urine to see if, other than the first spurt, is bloody. If so then you have a problem which needs the attention of a doctor, otherwise it was probably just some blood that ran there from your circumcision wound.

It is common for there to be a few spots of blood from the incision for a week or two, but not a continuous flow. If it is flowing then talk to your doctor as soon as possible since the wound may have opened up.

1st 2 days are really hard to pee without pain .If swelling continue to increase and you feel pain like needles pearcing then its best to see doctors . I got circumcised 10 days ago.On day 3rd my penis got swollen like a balloon. I was in severe pain and ended up going to emergency. Some other surgern told me that sticthes are very tight and need to open a bit. So since he had re done the stitches and I felt much more confortable, pain free and swelling gone down.

in reply toAman79

When the stitches got taken out did they put you under?and it’s the tip where I pee that really stings.and also when do the night time erections stop hurting

Yeah, I was given general anesthesia. I am also suffering from pain due to erection.

There is absolutely no need for a general anaesthetic when removing the stitches. Mostly they can be removed without needing any anaesthetic, but a local (as for the original circumcision) can be given if really needed.

Ya tim I went to the doctors 2 times this week and all is good, I still have pain when urinating and the flow is like a sprinkler system but is getting a bit better but as long as you can go you’ll be alright it’s just because of the swelling right now, that’s what my doctor said he says I’m just super swollen but all is good and In 3-4 weeks I should be back to normal so don’t worry I was just as nervous as you are for the same reason you are. I also have erections at night time that are extremely painful but it’s all good we just gotta fight through this it’s one of the most brutal surgeries you can have. My penis is still super swollen and the incision on the bottom almost looks infected but the doctor says it’s completely normal it’s just the healing process. Trust man we’ll get through this just fight it out for a couple weeks and you won’t regret it.

in reply toHemiBlower

Aye.thanks brother ,before I got this I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal. My doctor said it’s not that painful. But this is the most painful thing I ever felt in my 18 years of Living. I thought I was to cool to tell people about this issue. But it’s like a brotherhood on this app. I appreciate everyone helping me out and we will get thru this! I’ll keep you guys posted as well as you guys keep me posted!

Ya same here I’ve had a few injuries and surgeries in my life and this one tops them all by far but if we just try out best for the next few weeks to push through we will be good with it for the rest of our lives man

Hi, I'm on day 9 after my circumcision. I have the same problem andbits only just starting to ease up. Still have swelling so its coming out in fits and starts. My doc said as long as I'm peeing its OK and it will improve. I also have a loss of feeling when I pee and of course its spurts out all over the place ! I think its fairly normal with the swelling but keep mothering your doc if your not happy. Don't look at Doctor Google !
