Dry skin or the first step to more phimosis? (Circ+2 years)

Hey,

It’s been just over two years since my circumcision for phimosis and, for the most part, things have been good but, recently, I keep getting little tears in the skin below my scar (5-10mm closer to my body). I’m not sure if it’s just drying out or something more serious?

At first, I thought it was just that I wasn’t using enough lube or being too aggressive but it’s happened most recently without any physical intervention - it’s made me super cautious (which isn’t fun).

Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same or has any thoughts?

Sort of worried that it’s similar to what I had many years ago that, I think, resulted in the phimosis in the first place.

Thanks, W

PS. Silicone based lube - bad for your penis skin?

I haven't experienced anything of such and was recently circ'ed. When do you notice these years and is it usually after stretching of some sort ? Have you injured the area before in any way or the skin over it ? Sometimes during excessive force the skin splits and if it doesn't heal properly is fragile. So it may retear. You may need an ointment for this if this recurs. If the cause is drying out then you can benefit from cocnut oil on the shaft. Hope this helps . All the best !
