Is cotton wool bad for covering circumcised penis?

8days after circumcision. 3 days ago I accidentally put cotton around my penis to make it comfortable now it's stuck. Pulled some out today and the stitches were dissolved no bleeding and I am still on antibiotics. Should I just leave the cotton there and let it fall off on it own or remove it?

Best to soak it and try to get it removed . And ideally just go to a clinic or hospital and they will slowly remove it for you . Don't pull too hard in the cotton and if you choose to still keep it or some part of it , make sure it doesn't get wet or the site gets infected. Either way I would suggest for you to get it removed at a nearby clinic or ER. Cheers !

Cotton Wool will always stick to the wound, held there by blood or lymph. You should soak it off with warm salt water. Don't pull roughly on it as you will destroy scabs on the nealing skin. Remove as much as you can before soaking and then try to soak off the rest.

DRY any remaining material so as not to leave the wound wet.

In futire only use non-stick gauze, or put on a barrier cream first.

Hey, I'd give it a good soak in some warm salted water gently removed the Cotton drying it off with a blow dryer is a handy way to dry. Using a non adherent dressing with some gauze dressing in the future would be best.

In the future, do not use cotton wool. Use gauze wrapping and gentle tape to wrap it. If you can, don't wrap it and let it air out. that is the best healing for the first 5 days.
