Penis Head covered Even when fully erect

Hi all hope you’re good. Just stumbled upon this forum regarding my penis foreskin issue i’m having. Basically my penis is uncircumcised and when my penis is fully erect, the foreskin still covers the head. Is this normal among uncircumcised men? I am 22 if that changes anything. Was told by my girlfriend that she’s never seen anything like it :(

That's pretty normal, can you pull your foreskin back to fully expose the glans? If not then you have a tight foreskin and will need to try stretching it.

Thanks for your reply. I am unable to pull my foreskin back to fully expose the glans. I can just about see my glans when im fully erect. I have booked an appt with my gp since my gf said its not usual andweird. Is stretching to be done myself or is this nest left to the professionals?

You can stretch it yourself by looking up online how to stretch a tight foreskin. Stretch it every day 2x a day. I had phimosis aswell and in the end got circumcised as it was the best option for me.

Did stretching work for you? Asking because im not a fan of going through surgery(circumcision) as i feel dizzy when it comes to that?

no it didnt work, stretching doesnt work on a tight foreskin allot of the time, and it can take weeks for you to see progress but its worth a shot anyway, in the end you might have to get circumcised, its not that scary and it will fix your issue.

Your foreskin sounds identical to how mine was. You likely have phimosis. It never bothered any of my girlfriends (or me) but when I turned 27 this became a problem as I had regular issues with balantis which made me very sore.

Go see your GP. They will likely prescribe steroid creams to aid in loosening the skin, which can work. Probably more likely so as you’re younger than I was. Until then I would recommend using lube and a condom with your girlfriend because if the skin splits regularly you will create scar tissue and if your girlfriend gets thrush (common in girls) it will be difficult to shake as you can’t clean your glans.

Lastly, I was terrified about having surgery too but it was my only option. I had it a week ago. Under general anaesthetic you’ll never know it happened and the pain afterwards has been very manageable.

Depends how much you can pull it back over ur helmet mate

Hi Crash20

I`m many many years older than yourself and until 3 months ago just thought I was "normal" with the same similar problem as yourself. However i decided to visit my GP and she advised me to go for circumcision and she in turn contacted the Urology Dept of my local hospital to place me on the list to have the procedure done. I promise you it was the best decision I have ever made, slight discomfort for around 4 weeks but nothing more, simply go for it my friend don`t put it off!

Hi Man, that's really good advice from the guys, go to your GP and have things checked out try the stretching and see how it goes with steroid creams. it can take a long time to see any improvement. Can you retract the foreskin when you are flaccid to clean this is important? Do let us know how you get on all the best.

Stretching works. Don't let anyone tell you it doesn't, because that how we grow. You just need a program and the drive to do the work. You can get coaching at willywellbeing.com

Some great advice from forum members. I hope that your GP appointment goes (has gone) well.

You're not weird or alone, and the tightness is curable. Go to phimosisjourney.com to learn techniques of stretching. The key to success is keeping a schedule. I've found 3-4 short sessions per day to be most effective.

i have the exact same question.mine stays fully covered on erection also.it will go back so far comfortably then it feels tight.especially when i get to the head.very snug and if i do manage to very carefully work it over that point(with the help of lube) it then does not go forward again til i soften up.nhs examined and just said it is fine they only examined flacccid.then took along erect pics n said ok maybe slightly tight your decision to make.how have you got on with this???
