Post-circumcision, possible penoscrotal webbing (webbed penis)?

Guys, today marks my 29th day (week 5) post circumcision. I followed up with my surgeon today and he says that there is still some extend of swelling. He asked me to continue with daily dressing for another 2 weeks.

My concern is that, i kinda got suspicious about penoscrotal webbing ( webbed penis), after i got a comment on my last post. After doing more research on it, i kinda feel like I have it? I brought my concern to my surgeon but he said he never touch the scrotum area during the surgery and it has nothing to do with the circumcision.

He did however asked me to consult a urologist about it. I will be consulting one soon but i am thinking about waiting for my swelling to fully subside before meeting one. I would be very grateful if you guys here ( although not doctors) could be my fresh set of eyes and confirm my suspicions if whether it is indeed penoscrotal webbing that I am having? Also, people with or without previous experience on this is also welcomed to comment on whether or not, i should do something about it or if this condition can be ignored since it may be harmless. Without being able to directly examine you, it is difficult to tell if, and to what extent, you have an actual penoscrotal web.

The scrotum normally hangs partly from the penis near its base, but for some folk there is much more of a pronounced web. Generally it doesn't have any effect on your sexual activities, but can doif the web extends more than half the length of the penis.

You should not have any further surgery to your genitals (unless required in an emergency) for a year to allow all traces of swelling to subside and leave the natural shape. Then only a qualified urologist will be able to tell you if any corrective action is required and what can be done.

Hi Dash, from what I can see it does look like you have a mild case of penoscrotal webbing, in comparison to my own experience and situation yours doesn't seem to extend quite so far up as mine did - if it doesn't cause any discomfort or issues during sex (irritation, bunching up/pushing off condoms etc) then I'd suggest leaving it be unless of course it also affects your confidence and mental health too.

It's not a very complicated procedure but does have its own risks, speaking from the point of view of having this corrected I had some issues with the stitches bursting open and having to let it heal up on its own accord, surgeon wouldn't resuture incase doing so trapped any unwanted bacteria inside the wound and would make things worse.

It's not nearly as painful as the circumcision but will take just as long to heal and you cannot do anything sexually for atleast 6-8 weeks - similar to the circumcision healing time.

I will also say that one of the other risks is that the surgeon may not remove all of the webbing either, cold operating room and any other factors can cause less to be visible during the op, this is something I'm currently dealing with too + the scar as a result of the stitches opening up, bluntly speaking here I'd only really recommend having it corrected if it REALLY bothers you.
