Foreskin / Penis pain and discomfort during sex

Hi,

So i just came across this site, and thought i'd see if there was any advice before i (reluctantly, as a typical man) have to go to a GP.

I have what i think is a tight foreskin which is causing me some problems:

One of the problems is when having sex (if not using lube) it can be painful as it doesn't retract naturally or fully.

The other problem is possibly a tight frenlum which is pulling the head down and creating some pain.

However, what i dont understand, is that when flacid, i can retract the foreskin completely as far back as i want and feel no pain. But when i'm erect, i can only retract it say to the bottom of the head and any further is quite painful (this wouldn't be a particular issue as i can still retract it) but the big problem, is that when retracting it when erect, it effects my erection and makes the penis go softer and more flaccid (like a semi) as you can imagine, this means ejaculating during sex is very difficult, and i believe the penis goes softer because of the discomfort of retracting the foreskin.

As a result, I only seem to be able to ejaculate when the head is covered by the foreskin so the penis is fully erect and specifically whilst masturbating.

I can't find any similar issue online, and the closes thing my issue appears to be related to is phismosis. But i've never seen any mention of the condition causing the penis to go more flaccid when the foreskin is pulled back?

I have a very sensitive head, and sometimes during sex it's uncomfortable, so a combination of these factors is frankly making my sex life an absolute misery (though because of the issue i can last in bed for a long time, but that is no concellation when the experience is barely pleasureable)

Does anybody have any advice what this can be related to and how it can be treated or should i run it past a GP?

Thanks

Definitely run it past a gp and get diagnosed if you have phimosis , short frenulum or both . I had a short frenulum and I had the same problem as you . Complete rectracting ability when flaccid but would hurt while erect . The pain in itself wouldn't allow me to get fully erect which may be happening to you as well. This couples with the short frenulum made it painful and difficult for me. I met my Urologist and had other indications so opted for Circ and have gotten it done. Now I have no pain and if erect am at full capability. I also had hypersensitivity which was resolved after the circ on contact.

Even with your condition , you can decrease the sensitivity by contact with your hands while bathing and if need be apply small film of vaseline petroleum jelly over the glans for a week or so. It helped me alot within a week of application after the circ and made it bearable till I was desensitized.

Do check in with your doc as I went through what you are doing now and managed to come out of it happy which I am sure you will too . All the best !

Thanks for that mate. That's exactly my situation, which is reassuring! Will get in touch with the GP. Cheers!

Hi. As with Velcro93 , sorry to be the bearer of sad man news. A trip to your GP will set the wheels in motion to deal with your tight foreskin and investigate your frenulum. There is the possibility of stretching your foreskin with steroid cream and also the frenulum - if indeed it is too short.
