I was wondering if I could get some opinions or advice on this matter.
I am a week and a half into recovery of my recent circumcision. All the swelling has went down and most of the stitches has dissolved.
I noticed that my foreskin still goes over the head of the penis when flaccid. It looks like it almost looks like it has not been circumcised. However, when erect the foreskin does land right behind the head of the penis.
My concern is that maybe the surgeon took too little foreskin off when doing the procedure? I noticed that there has been build up happening underneath the skin. Does this not defeat the entire purpose of getting circumcised?
Does anyone have this happening to them? Any comments will be appreciated!
Thank you!

Did you have your frenulum removed as well? Might be the best of both worlds situation if you stilll have some foreskin to cover your glans according the intactivists lol ... I would say it’s still relatively early in the healing process, just give it a few more weeks to let the swelling subside
As far as what my doctor said, he said that he will be performing a "normal" circumcision.
He did not give me the time and day to discuss styling of the circumcision because he did not believe in it. He believes circumcision are circumcisions and that is final.
Nowhere in the conversation did he ever mention he would be performing a partial circumcision.
I am having a hard time with this because I don't know if my insurance will cover a circumcision revision (they usually don't, unless medically necessary).
Mine looks similar to yours! In that when flaccid the skins rolls over the head and when erected the skin retracts behind the head.
Is it tight when erect? If you are a grower then you need extra skin to allow for a full erecrion How it looks soft is not how it will look hard.
I don't think you have anything to worry about. My doctor actually asked me how I masturbated so to leave just enough skin on. When I'm flaccid, i look semi cut. When I get a very strong erection, the little bit of skin gives way and allow for a comfortable grasp.
I was circumcised at 27, there was no medical problem with my foreskin but I had issues which I wanted solved. For example, Pink Pearly Papules, this was before laser treatment was available. They disappeared after the circumcision. I had to retract my foreskin to pee without spraying everywhere, the end of my foreskin, the spout like bit, covered most of the meatus.
I would say that your surgeon removed as much of your foreskin as was needed to solve the phimosis problem. There are different types of circumcision. I have a low cut which means my shaft skin is close to the corona, but does not cover any part of the glans when flaccid. Penile skin is quite stretchy so there is plenty for a full erection for penetration and masturbation. My foreskin played no part in any sexual activity when I had it, so I feel no difference without it.
Just be happy your phimosis has been dealt with and don't undergo another procedure.
