Upcoming Urologist Appointment

Finally, I received a Urology appointment from my primary doctors referral. I’m nervous because I don’t know what to expect. Anyone have any recommendations as to what things I should ask? Will they make me get erect to see how serious the problem is? A bit of background…my issue is tight foreskin. I can retract when flaccid but when fully erect it’s almost impossible. That being said sex is very painful and my penis head gets very irritated below the frenulum after sex. I’ve tried all the topicals and it didn’t work for me (and yes I tried)!

Any advice would be recommended.

Don’t worry,it’s not that bad,the doc will ask you to drop your trousers and lie on the bench, then he’ll move your foreskin around your glans checking on tightness and if there are any adhesions. You won’t be asked to get hard or anything like that,it’s a bit embarrassing but it only takes a minute or so and they put you at ease as much as possible.I was dreading it,imagining all the things that you’re worried about, but the reality is…minor embarrassment, over very quickly and nothing to really worry about. So just relax and it’ll all be over quickly 😊👍

That’s good to know but like I mentioned previously my foreskin does move over my gland when flaccid. Therefore, do you think that will be enough for him to believe me that it’s tight and non retractable when erect?

You could take photos for the urologist to see your erect penis issues.

I can but I think I’d be embarrassed to show pictures. Also, you don’t think it will be creepy?

I understand. You could always have some pics ready but only show if asked. Then it’s not creepy. You won’t be the first and won’t be the last as far as the doctor is concerned.

Yes, because I was in exactly the same situation as you, they don’t need to see it erect to know what’s needed

Hey, don't be worried about the appointment. Just say exactly what you said in the above post. They will examine you and lay out your options. The doc will see the issue immediately. Sounds like you have tried everything. If they do ask you to get erect........your in the wrong establishment 😂It's all very straight forward.

Good luck.

Felt exactly the same… and I considered photos!! But as Mubbles has already said they won’t need to see you erect. My consultant said “I’m afraid you need to leave you dignity outside” but other than lying on a bed and dropping your trousers… there is nothing to it. He’ll have a look and check your foreskin and it will take what seems like seconds!! And like me you’ll have been worrying about it for hours! 😂😂

After this stage - I think everything gets easier buddy as once you’ve shown the consultant, you really don’t have much left to be embarrassed about!!

Just be straight up and honest with the doc. He is a urologist, so has spent his entire career dealing with penis and testicles. As others have already said, they won't need to see you erect. I think I commented on your older post recently, but maybe also ask about what types of circumcision are available. I recently had the ZSR method, and honestly recommend it, if available.

Please address your issue with your doctor but please inform yourself if you decide to go with circumcision I personally don’t recommend it due to adverse effects and recovery may take months I would only remove the part that is causing the phimosis only and not a complete circumcision wish you the best

Try not worry about anything, you will be fine!!! Your a man and they know what men look like down there! You got nothing to be embarrassed about at all! Don't even think about it! I've been for checkups before where they had a 19 year old student on work experience sitting in on the examination along with the doctor! It's just a quick check, will only takes less than 2 mins!

Just explain all the symptoms to your urologist & tell him that you believe that the best way forward is a circumcision & that’s what you would like to happen & no they won’t ask you to get an erection…..creams & stretching is just a waste of time….. circumcision is the way forward & will end your problem once & for all 😃👍

Will do. Thanks!

phimosisjourney.com will lead you through stretching exercises to permanently cure the tightness. It takes about the same time as recovery from circumcision and you get to keep your foreskin and its advantages.

I know for some it works but for me it just didn’t. We all respond to things differently.

Thank you for this resource. I’ve already tried this so many times and with creams and nothing. Trust me I didn’t give up but once I’d stop because my foreskin and frenulum would get irritated from all the stress of stretching I would have to start from zero all over again with no result.

Then try rings. phimocure.net While stretching, it helps to treat for yeast. Steroid creams prescribed actually invite yeast whin in turn defeats the stretching attempts.

Don't worry - the urologist has seen many men and women's genitals and, to him/her, it is simply a body part that needs help. I have ED and the test of effectiveness injection was to administer the injection, then wait (In the waiting room) for 15 minutes, then come back in to his office for examination. That was only once and with a male Dr. Early in my ED battles I was examined by a female urologist. That was mildly embarrassing! But it all comes down to them seeing a body part that needs help!

He's or she is gonna touch your weiner haha. Make it pretty

do more research on your options. It is your penis, they do not have to remove ALL your 4skin in many cases. ""The Mark of Abraham" is the ANCIENT circumcise that was performed before the Maccabees took over Palestine at the end of the Hellenistic Period. They saw the "Mark" as allowing the Jewish men to still look "un-Hebrew" so the ordered every Male no matter age- slaves as well to be totally cut so never to be able to have a gentile penis- it was in fact today's full cutting and was a punishment to the Jewish Male population and is still done this way from centuries of custom and misinformation.

There are also methods to stretch and grow more cells which means grow more skin that 4skin restoration has proven through skin expansion, (a plastic surgery method used for over 100 years and IS a real procedure), to regenerate the skin making a new skin flap. I have had a fully restored 4skin with overhang now for 10 years and it took me a year to grow the hood back- you can also apply the same medical methods to restore more skin to a 4skin to gin the loose fit need to solve tight 4skin.

phimostretch.com/pages/abou...

you have options if you have 2-3 months and still want your 4skin, if not ask about long term de-sensitivity of the glan. How much specialized sexual nerves are removed by a full cutting, (75%) and the glan holds about (25%). These are medical fact so if you are not being told about how skin thickens over time to protect, look at your elbows, knees, palms etc,..., you might want to do some more serious researching on the long-term effects of exposing your glan 24/7. (drjonlazare.com/how-many-ne...

A group, ITACTIVISM, are a pro-4skin group that have scientific- real info on cutting. If you look at one side of this fence- you should look at the other to make YOUR decision, not just a doctor's. It is YOUR decision; I just like to think a person should make as well of an informed decision as they can. good luck.

Hello, thanks for the information man. I actually order the stretching rings because I felt that I should give it another try. I didn’t like the fact that the urologist quickly decided to circumcise. Anyway, I’be tried the rings luckily I didn’t start from the bottom. I’m seeing a huge improvement. It’s not pleasant but but I’m sure having my foreskin removed will be worse. Soon I’ll be in the second to last ring and now when I get hard it retracts half way on its own. Im pretty happy about it and looks like I’ll be able to keep my foreskin.
