Penis changing color after circumcision

hi all, 30 year old here who just had a circumcision 4 days ago. I wanted to know if the head changes colors as it heals. Currently the tip of my head is a bit darker than the rest. It has a dry texture to it but i heard that dryness is part of the healing. I have never seen my head due to phimosis. Was embarrassed for years and never brought it. Anyways. Any information on this will be helpful. I will also ask my urologist after the weekend. Thanks!

Yes it is known to undergo keratinization and drying which may give the glans a darker look. No need to worry ! It's nomal ! All the best !

Hey towerclark, congratulations on your circumcision, I’m glad you overcame the embarrassment, you have nothing to be embarrassed about, unfortunately, as men we don’t talk about these issues enough. As for color change it’s totally normal, sometimes it’s darker and some people it actually gets lighter so don’t let that worry you. Also, if your urologist allows it, (some do and some don’t) apply an unsented lotion for the dryness. My urologist wanted it done 24 hours post op and I’m 8 months Out and still apply as dryness of the glans is an issue for me.
