Ointment application post stitches!

For how long shall I apply ointment after all the stitches are gone?

There are lots of ointments available. It's quite hard to answer precisely. If you are talking about antibiotic ointment, there is no need to use them if the wound is not leaking any discharge.

The scar itself is like wounded skin and the body can not moisturize it well on first 6-12 months. You can apply fragrance free moisturizer rest of your lifetime to mucosa and glans.

Thank you very much for being considerate and reply. This is a slightly different question now.

I am on my 20th day post circumcision due to phimosis and 7 stitches are still intact and I am applying antibiotic ointment since the surgery after my dressing/gauze was out. Shall I keep on doing that ( apply ointment ) till each and every stitch is gone? Also do I have to apply on the skin or the stitches only?

Once the stitches are out you probably don'tneed any form of ointment on your penis, but a thin layer of barrier cream or vaseline can be useful to prevent any dressings from sticking to the wound and risk pulling scabs off.

There is no dressing now , it’s wide open. I don’t wear any clothes down at all. Naked for three weeks now. It is not touching anything , just cleaning with hot water two times a day and applying ointment there till the stitches are gone. If I am doing anything wrong , please let me know.

Hi penismighterthnsword when you wash him put some table salt in the water then dry him off I used a air dryer then put vasalene on I did this for 3 week everyday twice per day then after that massage with coconut oil nice and gentle you don't want to hurt him you only get 1 Willy coconut oil is very good for your skin and when he is ready use for wanking and sex good luck and keep safe
