Frenuloplasty - pain 5 weeks post op

Hi all,

I had a Frenuloplasty for a tight frenulum that I tore twice during dry sex about 1.5 years ago.

The surgery went ok. Some bleeding after and I took antibiotics. Was told to peel back the foreskin everyday and clean the area with water which I did. Eventually I could pull the foreskin back further than before exposing the approximate 1 Cm of frenulum that was removed. It was still sore but this was only week 3-4. Now I’m on week 5 and where the foreskin attaches now to the head (1 Cm lower than before) there is just a little bit of an opening left to heal over. It however stings like hell and my pain has gone up. Now I can’t even stretch my foreskin back without the pain and I’m in exactly the same situation I was a year ago with a small rip in my frenulum that healed with brittle scar tissue.

Am I screwed? Because this is going to take forever to heal, and if it’s just scar tissue I haven’t improved my situation All I’ve done is had the tight area where the foreskin connects to the head moved one Cm further down the shaft. I’m almost in tears as I think I’m gong to be that 1/100 that has complications after a frenuloplasty. Did anyone’s surgical area take longer than 5 weeks to completely heal? I have a follow up with the surgeon tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

Everyone heals differently your follow appointment will be more helpful the frenulum an fore skin was most of our problems the reason we got full circumcisions to prevent foreskin infections good luck tomorrow
