Zsr circumcision

I got zsr circumcision done around 3 weeks back on 24th November. After a couple of days swelling appeared. Clinic guys gave me dressing of glycerol for 3 days. Dr prescribed by linid 600 tablet as well. Swelling was gone but there was pain. On 9th day dr removed the rind. A thick Red band of wound remained. They have me dressing using megaheal cream. Pain was substantially reduced. Later clinic advised me to just apply megaheal on my own without dressing/gauge after cleaning with sterile water. For the first time I removed dressing last done by clinic using sterile water to remove gauge which was stuck, swelling came back. There is poor response from clinic now. I am very worried pls advise... Am is still infected.

From what you have said, and your pic, you do not appear to have any infection. Give it some time but if you feel worried let your general doctor have a look.

Try and shave and remove the hair around your penis. Hair can constantly irritate the scar and the bare glans (head).

Always a good idea to keep the scar wrapped in gauze using ointment. Fold the gauze a couple of times to ensure it stays and also use the ointment to help heal.

If you have swelling get compression wrap and and apply over the gauze bandage. When applying around, pull the compression bandage (it stretches a bit) so when you release at the end it sticks to itself.(self adhering compression wrap).

Wear dark colored snug fitting (snug but not very tight) underwear and keep you penis facing upwards against your torso facing your belly button.

Have patience.

I am also facing same issue. 3 days since circumcision, and have a lot of swelling. What is your status now?

My wound has been healed and I don't see any red cut / line kind of thing due to megaheal cream. However swelling is still there. Not so much as in the pic, but still there. Few times in evening when I take out gauge I don't see any swelling but overall shaft appears bit bloated. If I leave it some time I notice it again. So I guess the edema/water is still there in foreskin, it just gets compressed due to tight gauge and moves in the shaft foreskin...

Anyways be patient, would healing should be first priority. You may consult your dr, he may do dressing with glycerol/ glycerine, but I feel it's temp only...

For now just make sure to avoid any infection that may delay wound healing. Keep it dry. I think swelling goes eventually. I will update u in case mine goes....

Did u also go for partial circumcision??

No had complete phimosis and a burried penis like you, so my glance retracts back towards the body. Due to that there is issue in dressing. Yes I have got glycerol dressing twice. But since yesterday, the swelling has been there before my ring.

I had a complete circumcision only. My doctor has also told me that he will remove the ring on 7th or 8th day.

Please tell me about the pain, bleeding and your normal routine exercise since your circumcision

See circumcision will be a smooth sail for anyone who is going for it for cosmetic purposes..for people who are suffering from phimosis it will not be an easy journey,,, no matter how doctors say that u will resume work after 2 days,,, the truth is that u need atleast 2 weeks of rest and around one or two months for recovery....

The reason being in case of phimosis one's glans is never exposed,, so there are issues of sensitivity, exposure to hostile environment, edema, pain as well. Foreskin is an elastic tissue, if it is cut the wound will close but next fibrous tissue will come. The day I had zsr there were around 22 patients, in most cases ring did not fell off automatically and had to be removed by doctor....

And one more thing never go for partial. If elastic foreskin which has mucosal lining inside is left, it will keep on creating mucus leading to edema and slowing of wound healing process.

Also. Stretching is better. I had to get married so I went for it. If u are persistent with ur efforts you may get rid of phimosis,, it may even take a year.. but natural process is still better than surgery Especially if one is in late 20s. Infact circumcision is ok but adult circumcision should be avoided if u have time to do stretching....if everything fails then go for it....

It's my 7th day post surgery. I have edema.. kind of swellen soft ring around glans. Staplers are covered completely beneath edema. Is it normal? How many days will it take to recover from here? Please help
