Delayed healing in case of my ZSR circumcision

Hello.. I had also done ZSR circumcision on the 11th of July 2024. In my case, the silicone ring alongwith the staples were not visible from the 7th day due to immense swelling of the lower part. The pain is though bearable.. The skin is tearing up and yellowish discharge is oozing out. I am in sheer dilemma. It's day 12 and there are no sign of the silicone ring being detached by its own. Still continuing with antibiotics, regular dressing and applying ointment. Please suggest something. Will the silicone ring fall on its own?? Please help..

Zsr ring can take upto a month to drop.Yellow discharge is most probably lymph, if it smells then it may be infection.

I also got cut via zsr, I faced minimal swelling.

To reduce swelling keep penis upright and avoid letting it hang for long time. You can use a steripad inside your underwear to support it.

Use salt water bath or dip your penis in luke warm water for few mins. Don't rub the glans or the incision.

Feel free to talk, I am from India

Silicon ring can take upto 4 to 6 weeks to come off , for me it took about 4 to 5 weeks . Keep having antibiotics apply cream and bandage just few more weeks and you will be fine , once the silicon ring comes off give a week for the skin to fuse properly .After three to four weeks I started applying a medicinal oil called lokman Hayat oil ,Google it .Over all within 6 weeks I was able to resume all my normal activities including workout

Hi Gsanta,

I am just wondering did you suffer from Balanitis prior to the circumcision?

and am curious as to why you choose the ZSR over conventional method

reason I'm asking is because I must undertake a circumcision within the next few weeks and must decide which procedure/method may be best option for me

Hey buddy yes I did suffer from recurrent and irritating balanitis may be cause I recently got diabetic and taking tablets for diabetes I wish I got it done one year ago , it completely solved my problem of balanitis . well I chose zsr cause it sounded easy and quick and it was indeed easy and quick .the silicon ring falls off in 4-6 weeks healing is quicker .Main attraction for me was quick process of surgery they just have to take measurement , attach pull foreskin and staple

Hi buddy, when did the ring finally fall off? Did it fall on its own or you had to go to the doctor to remove it? Appreciate your response.
