Did circumcision kill masturbation for me?

6 weeks ago I was partially circumcised and I'm trying to start masturbation again but well the way I did it was extremely weird before with a phimosis problem, used my left hand upside down but that doesn't seem to be able to work anymore like this. Now every time I try to masturbate I just get kinda depressed and usually stop after a couple minutes, because I dont know how to do it. Saw multiple people say lube is your best friend, but if I need lube every time I want to masturbate that just sucks.

Hi there. You certainly need to use lube for a while. You are still in the recovery period - some people who get circumcised don’t masturbate at all till after six weeks. Be gentle with it - you don’t want to cause any problems. Eventually your penis will be fully recovered and you will find ways of masturbating that suit you. Regarding lube, I had a second circumcision when I was 20 (I am 44 now). I hardly ever use lube now even though my circumcision is very tight (have a look at my posts). So as you’ve had a partial circumcision you may eventually find that you don’t always need lube. But you will at first.

Just to emphasise, masturbation will feel different. There are some good points in Bucky’s reply, but take no notice of his negative first sentence. I know a few people who have been circumcised as young men and the majority prefer masturbation since their circumcision.

I got circumcised 7 weeks ago. I definitely found lube to be a massive help masterbating now while the scar is still healing. It's still a bit tender and puffy where the inner skin is. I imagine it will be hard to dry masterbate for a while yet if you are still only at 6 weeks, so don't give up hope yet!

With that being said stop worrying. You will get back into the swing of things or slide. Since you had phimosis you probably never had the glans exposed so for now it is a strange feeling. You'll get used to it and learn to adapt. The lube, for now anyway, will help ease the sensitivity of the glans till you get used to it. Worry is your biggest enemy right now.

I second this. Now that you are relearning your 'new' penis, it's best to become as closely acclimatized to the feeling of a vagina rather than your dry rough hand, which typically, exerts more pressure.

Just be patient and things will gradually get better. It could take several more months, but you will get used to being circumcised and love it.

I find it impossible to dry masturbate with any success since my Circ.

Lube definitely helps, I also occasionally use my Wifes Silky nightie.

This gives a good feeling and makes a change.

Just remember to put it in the wash afterwards !
