thrush, Canesten and bleeding

I have what I think it thrush every now and again. I’ve taken a Canesten pessary this week and am now having a period like bleed. I’ve never had this before from Canesten. Has anyone experienced similar? I’m wondering if I actually have Vaginal atrophy and welcome any thoughts!

Hi

I would suffer terribly with bladder infections, it would go from thrush to cystitis.

Have you dropped off any urine samples to your GP. I sent several to my GP, and they gave me antibiotics, and used over the counter stuff. Nothing helped.

I then realised I suffered from vaginal atrophy. I used vagifem and YES moisturiser and this helps.

Good luck

Thank you. I’ve actually just ordered some yes moisturiser as I began to read more about atrophy. I’m sure it’s probably needed! Thanks for replying
