curious to know the different thyroid meds that are available, currently taking levo but to be honest I have never felt great on it despite trying different doses and supplementing with selenium/vitamin b etc. what’s the difference between levo and armour for example? Can you get it in the UK? Any info would be much appreciated x

Hi

I have had both medications.

Levothyroxine is the synthetic form and contains T4 only.

Armour Thyroid is a Natural Dessicated Harmone (ground up Thyroid of pigs)!

Armour contains T4 and T3 as well as T1 and T2.

It's the T3 that can make all the difference. If on thyroxine and you body doesn't convert T4 to T3 then this can be really detrimental to our health and how we feel.

There are loads of knowledgeable people on the thyroid forum, please check it out. X
