Hi. I had 3 zoladex injections around 2 years ago and the actual injection was stocked at the doctors surgery. I have now been told I have to have another course of zoladex but now my doctors do not stock them and I have to get a prescription then take the injection with me to the appointment. My question is will I have to pay for the prescription?

Zoladex is prescribed on the NHS, you shouldn’t have to pay for it.
It’s possible your doctors surgery doesn’t have much demand for this, and because of cost cutting they don’t stock it anymore. For peace of mind..check with the surgery when you go for the prescription.
hi thanks for your reply.
I did go to the doctors to have the injection and they said they do t stock then and that I would need a prescription then go collect from pharmacy then bring to the appointment so they can then administer the injection. Now I’ve just found out that I will have to pay as there’s a shortage really confused and frustrated
hi
I’ve done just over a year on chemical menopause and was prescribed monthly prostap injections, (same drug as zoladex) had to pick up from chemist prior to the injection appointment and wasn’t best pleased to have to pay for it every time
