I've asked, googled, read some books... well pimps and brochures on what's going on with me. I've even got a doctor's opinion if I'm premenopausal everybody and everywhere I've looked and researched says that I'm too young I'm 42 but everybody keeps telling me no I still got a couple of more years for it but I don't care what the hell is going on I'm always hot always I could be sitting down watching TV and I'm hot I'm laying down in bed getting ready to go to sleep I'm hot I go to work I work outside sometimes everybody's wearing a jacket cuz it's December it's winter and I'm out in capri pants and a regular T-shirt with no sweater and no jacket because I'm hot and I'm sweating somebody help me somebody give me some answers but apparently according to the doctors and Google and the pamphlets and brochures and even my family history I'm still too young so why am I always hot

🤔You’re probably aware FSH levels can be checked…but this isn’t totally reliable, there can be frequent changes not necessarily indicating Perimenopause.

🤔It’s possible your Thyroid levels may need to be checked…or something else may be causing you to be overheated.

It's not my thyroid I've had that checked apparently I had that active one where I don't gain weight so I guess that's a good thing I don't know but I kind of came to conclusion I think it might be my hyperness I'm just all over the place I'm running out of ideas today I work while I clean a room I literally wanted to stick my head under the faucet just to cool down but I'm pretty sure I would have gone in trouble for that I'm trying to look for I guess a primary doctor to go to but I don't want to go just so I can be told I'm still too young so in the meantime I'm icing my bras before work taking cold showers and sleeping with the air as cold as I can get it at night

🥴 You must be exhausted coping with this. Women can obviously start Perimenopause at different ages, the same as variations in starting periods. 🤔 Try looking for a Menopause Specialist in your area.

I started perimenopause about the same age. If you can afford to go private then I would see someone privately. Most gps only get minimal training in menopause.

Okay don't want to sound stupid but school on these what is minimal? Is it vitamins or something? And u can train it cano train to stop making me so hot all the time? For once I would like to be the only one not sweating during work when it's freaking winter.

I didnt get day sweats, night sweats only. I understand that HRT would be best for hot sweats but if you don’t want to go down that route, you could try a natural remedy such as black cohosh.

I was 42 when my symptoms started. It took a year for me to realise what was going on and another three years before my GP finally agreed with me having been needlessly sent for every test under the sun. HRT stopped all my symptoms within a week. Most GPs do not have the training to diagnose peri menopause so ask to be referred to a menopause clinic on the NHS (they must refer you if you ask). However, waiting lists can be long so consider going private for a consultation. It can be £250+ for an initial consultation depending where you go, but they will send a letter to your GP who should act on their advice. Don’t wait like I did. My life was miserable for 4 years. HRT isn’t the solution for everyone, but there are lots of things you can do to alleviate your symptoms once you know what’s going on.

Best and quickest solution is get a private blood test, for all hormones,I did this and within 3days I picked my Hrt up,and confirmation that I was menopausal, bloody awful thing this menopause stuff but it is what it is,and few get off lightly, within a couple of weeks no hot sweats, mood better, changed my life,or should I say gave me my life back.Dont worry as worrying n stress make things worse.Go find a gynecologist,to have blood test.Your GP should do this blood test if you push for it.If this fails ask GP for a total blood count to see if anything else is going on.

Just because your youngish doesn't mean you can't be perimenopausal.

I had really bad night sweats at 43 and was convinced it was the menopause. My GP did a range of blood tests and found I was vitamin D deficient. A couple of weeks after going on that, I felt like a new person. Might not be the same for you, but worth checking if you’ve had your Vitamin D tested.

peri menopause can start in your early 40s that’s how old I was but took months to recognise all the symptoms.

Take a look at Balance website or app from Dr Louise Newsome you can look for free. Check your symptoms against the list of 40+ symptoms seriously loads that no one talks or knows about.

It can be diagnosed from symptoms alone as blood tests can be inaccurate as levels are fluctuating and it could be a day when your oestrogen is at a good level. So gives a wrong diagnosis.

I went on HRT and got over 38+ symptoms eradicated. Good luck.

Sounds like you need a second opinion from doctors. Perimenopause can start earlier & each person will have an individual journey. Are there any other subtle changes to report to doctor? Skin changes? Hair? Joint aches? I went to my GP with a list & got some great help.

I'm only 42 and everything hurts at times at work my back feels like it's gonna give out on me if I bend over too long it hurts to stands up straight so I stay bent for a few seconds then sometimes it hurts so bad I I feel like I'm a faint takes the breath out of me like someone kicked me really hard in the back and I got the wind knocked out of me and then sometimes I just feel like crying from the pain my skin be started getting a lot drier lately but I think it's because it's winter I don't know a little by little I'm starting to see the same pains and aches that my mother used to have that I used to make fun of and well now the joke's on me because I have the same exact pains my mother is having and the hot flashes that she used to have to but I am in the search for a local doctor physician that might healthcare takes care of is covered by so I know you can't cure menopause and I know you can't make the hot flashes go away but just something to make them at least bearable cuz it's winter where I'm at it's not as cold as other places but the other day it was like 33° in the morning and it kind of fluried and I'm the only idiot walking around a t-shirt because I'm sweating in my sweatshirt and jacket my beanie was making me hot and it was 33° in the morning and it was flurry and snowing however you want to call it but I'm the only idiot at work with no jacket I had to take my beanie off because I was literally sweating and everybody's looking at me weird like I'm some freaking crackhead just nonchalantly like Lottie doll look at the snow... Oh and one of my co-workers that I'm actually that I actually get along with found it very odd that I was chewing on ice

I’m so sorry you’re struggling so much. Here in the UK 42 would absolutely not be recognised as too young for perimenopause. It can last up to 10 years and beyond. My friend was full menopause at 43. Please have a look at the Balance Menopause site which will give you all the info you need on perimenopause and menopause. Dr Louise Newson has been educating our NHS on all things hormone wise. Drs here would not dismiss you. You’d be able to get oestrogel here which I’m on and the difference when using the hrt is incredible. There’s no need to suffer these days. Get all the info you can and go back to your doctor. There are many more symptoms too - see if you recognise yourself looking at all the symptoms. I hope this helps.
