Still losing hair 4 months after surgery, does anyone else have this problem? I am also taking Keppra and the only time I ever had a seizure was at the end of my 11 hour surgery

I’m still trying to get my life back but brain tumor surgery is a big deal to everyone and I don’t want to talk about it anymore.
Start taking Biotin. it really helped hair loss .I had a large meningioma removed in march of 2021 and I am still on Keppra. Trying to get off. Had one TIA 8 days after Covid vaccine. Did not get another. Have been fine and no incidence since. I also put powdered collagen in coffee.
Can you try a different anti seizure drug? There are others that seem to be better tolerated than Keppra.
Hello,
I had a meningioma removal operation for a large tumour but didn't have radiotherapy. I lost a lot of hair (probably more than half the volume, as well as the strip that needed to be shaved for the op). My consultant said it was probably due to the stress of the diagnosis and operation. She advised me to continue to eat healthily and get plenty of rest.
When my hair was looking at its worst I used to wear a cotton headscarf to go out (in the summer) mainly to hide the shaved part. They had left a little tuft in the front which formed a fringe - which, strangely, helped me a lot.
About 6 months after the op my hair loss stopped and new hair started to grow. The good news was that because it was all growing back at once it was thicker than previously. Usually I cut my own hair but I found a very understanding hairdresser who merged the new growth into the existing hair so that it didn't look like I had an obvious line - and she helped my confidence enormously.
I hope things settle down for you soon and that you can look forward to a burst of new hair.
I’m just under 14 months post op. I was shaved ear to ear. I felt like I lost a lot of hair for the first 6 months then it returned to my normal loss when I washed my hair. It is normal to lose a small amount every day. It will get better. 💕
thank you
