I understand, you did the best thing you thought you could do at the time. Try to be kind to yourself. I don't want any deficits either. The way my neurosurgeon explains it is that what you get after surgery is pretty much what you would have gotten if you had waited for it to get bigger.
So sorry to hear about your paralysis. My wife’s right side of her face ended up being numb after surgery. They nicked a nerve in the removal of one of her tumors. It is still numb 18 moths later and will probably always be. She has some other side effects also but is glad to be alive. Have hope that it will get better someday but be prepared for that it might not.
