Well I got around the Admiral City of Newport HM for St. Davids Hospice or as I referred to it yesterday, my 4 back to back parkruns. Lovely picturesque course, a few unexpected bumps, great organisation and support.Despite recent illness which cut out my last 2 long runs and a few of my shorter ones too I managed to get round, although the last 3/4k were a bit messy. Great support also from my son-in-law who is recovering from injury and wanted a slow plod; which he got. The weather was great too a bit chilly to start but blue skies most of the way. Thighs and right knee suffering a bit this morning but hey-ho 😁👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🤸🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

You can relax now for a few days, all the hard work is done. The thighs and knee just need a rest. Enjoy the post-race glow 🙂

Thanks for the badge I will keep it well polished. I know it's never say never but HM could be the end of aspirations 😁 so it may stay for awhile

Just checked Linda it's on 6th October same day as Cardiff HM which I'm signed up for. There's one in Colwyn Bay on 24/3 but I think that's a rad close 🤣🤣

Hmm. I had a similar problem because it clashed with Oxford HM, so it took me about three years before I was able to enter it. But I loved it. It used to be that Chester was the ONLY UK metric marathon, so this Colwyn Bay one must be new. My brother lives in Old Colwyn ... so now it's you tempting me!

I can't do it this year sadly because of my leg - otherwise I'd jump at it. Let's hope it's a success and they run it again next year. It's pretty much the same as the Coastal HM I did there a few years ago, although that went a bit further as it was point to point (although the final climb back to Eirias Park is just cruel!!!).

So now it's on my radar for 2025! That's payback, even if you probably didn't realise it!!!

Very well done OMR and good for you to be able to be strong enough to complete the HM despite the obstacles! I nearly always falter in my runs these days, I try not to but almost always do.
