Well set out at 6am , hopefully @ linda9389 you got out at roughly the same time?
I didn't know what distance you were thinking, I wasn't sure what distance I was thinking either.. just thought I'd run and see where I got to and how hot it might get βοΈ
Was a beautiful morning,still cool..
I've been running regular 12Ks lately and not far off my 300K quarterly challenge.. so was aiming for at least 12..
Thinking of Linda, wondering if she was still slogging it out there ?
But setting out so early and still feeling okay at 12K and the sun not just as hot yet as I feared.. I took a turn onto a new route I discovered a few runs ago and added on another 3 K .. thinking brilliant 15K a good distance... πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Really tiring now ... πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ Giving myself a push I decided it would be a shame not to add the other K on to reach a 10 Miles..had to turn up and down the last stretch a few times to make it up..
But woop woop fantastic run, and feeling awesome π
Happy Running all ππββοΈπ

A very early enjoyable 16K run for you today Caroline, well done, very wise on running at that time to avoid the heat of later in the day although where you are it isn't to be as hot as Southern England, if you had ran that run in Glasgow this morning you would have needed your wet running gear as its raining β but to brighten up in the early afternoon.
That's too hot for me, 34C phew, I am going to a parkrun in Glasgow tomorrow, its to be sunny with a temperature of around 14C at the start, not 22C as it might be for some parkruns in South East England., stay cool if you can and drink plenty of water.
Enjoy your ice cream, remember that I have a chocolate ice-cream swirl when I come back from a run on a Wednesday and after I come back home from a parkrun on a Saturday. This afternoon I have just come back from taking Holly the dog a short walk, rain gone off, some sunshine and the temperature where I am is 17C, not 34C as it is in London, I am now watching the tennis from Queens Tennis Club London on BBC 2, I notice many spectators with fans and even one of those battery operated cooling fans, nice and cool for them, πonce again, enjoy your ice cream π¦yummy π
Woohoo! Fabulous!!! I did indeed get out, though it was 6:15 as I headed out the door. I ran just over 13k (having set out to do at least 12). I was thinking about you too. I will post about my run in a minute because it was far from 'just another run' π
What a great idea to team up virtually! Well done on your 10 miles too - those are the best runs arenβt they when you think youβll do one distance but then find youβve still got enough in the tank to smash it further. Great stuff!
Excellent run for you Sparky, from the photos it looks cool. I got up just after 5 but it was already 18' here in the east and I couldn't face it.. Particularly as I was play tennis at 9. I might try again tomorrow when it's meant to cool down, it's still 29C now!!!
Thanks Mormor1, the first hour was cool, it quickly warmed up after that, but not as hot as you have it there βοΈHope you enjoyed your game of tennis πΎ x
I did, was glad to stop after 2 sets as it got very hot and I still had to check a hive.. Which meant donning a bee suit, wellies and rubber gloves......I was sooo sweating.....not fun!
Fantastic! ππ» ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»I set out on a 9 mile run a couple of weeks ago and decided to just carry on. The last couple of miles were tough but youβve just got to havenβt you π€·π»ββοΈ While you are in the zone and the weather is just right.
